Gavin Ward was one of the two founding members of Bolt Thrower. He started out as the bass player early on in the band in 1986, and so can be heard on the first demo. For the second demo, he switched to playing lead and rhythm guitar. [1] He plays lead and rhythm guitar on all albums, save Mercenary and Honour - Valour - Pride; there he plays solely rhythm guitar.[ citation needed ] Ward was also one of the lyricists of the band. [1] Bolt Thrower disbanded in 2016, a year after the death of their drummer Martin Kearns.

Before Ward started with Bolt Thrower he helped out the punk band The Varukers on one of their tours - the band later joined them on a European tour.[ citation needed ]

He is from Leamington Spa, England.[ citation needed ]

Cold (band) American post-grunge band

Cold is an American rock band, from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1986 by lead singer and guitarist Scooter Ward, guitarist Matt Loughran, bassist Jeremy Marshall, and drummer Sam McCandless. The band has since gone through numerous lineup changes leaving Ward and McCandless as the remaining original members of the band. Cold has recorded six studio albums: Cold (1998), 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage (2000), Year of the Spider (2003), A Different Kind of Pain (2005), Superfiction (2011), and The Things We Can't Stop (2019). Within two gold-albums, Cold has sold over one million records in the US alone. On November 17, 2006, it was announced on Myspace that, after a period of uncertainty since that February, the group had decided to disband. In July 2008, it was announced that the original line-up would reunite for a tour in early 2009. This became permanent and the band released their fifth studio album Superfiction on July 19, 2011. The band released their sixth studio album The Things We Can't Stop on September 13, 2019.

Bolt Thrower English band

Bolt Thrower were an English death metal band from Coventry, England. They formed in 1986 and released their first album with Vinyl Solution in 1988. The band then shifted to a new record label, Earache Records, soon becoming one of the best selling bands on that label. Their last label was Metal Blade Records. The band had a succession of members, and had toured Europe, the United States, and Australia. Over the course of their 30-year career, Bolt Thrower released eight studio albums, three EPs, one live album, three compilation albums and two demos. On 14 September 2016 the band announced that they were breaking up, following the death of drummer Martin Kearns exactly a year earlier.

Philmont was an American pop punk influenced Christian rock band based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. They were signed to Forefront Records / EMI CMG until Spring 2010. Their debut album, Attention, was released on August 25, 2009. They released two independent EPs before breaking up in August 2012.
