Gavyn Matthew Bailey (born May 29, 1998) is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and podcast host. He entered the music industry with his first EP, Sickly in Love, in 2013. Bailey has had music featured on MTV's Degrassi and FreeForm's Party of Five (2020 TV series) . [3] [4] Bailey is also a published songwriter, signed by Adam Anders and Alan Melina to Bump Into Genius and Warner/Chappell Music. [5] [ non-primary source needed ] He is a co-writer of "Ville Ønske Jeg Havde Kendt Dig" performed by Emil, which came in third place at the 2020 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. [6] In January 2021, Bailey co-founded "And That's That On That," an entertainment podcast, with Haley Chapman, which debuted in the Top 50 Music Interview Charts on Apple Podcasts. [7] [8]

Personal life

Bailey was born with kidney failure and received a life-saving kidney transplant on Easter Sunday, 2001. [22] He has also been open about his past and present life with mental illness as an ambassador for Children's Hospital of Orange County's Mental Health Initiative. [23]

MGP Junior is a Danish song contest for children aged 8 to 15. It originated in 2000 as a spin-off of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, before coming the national selection for the now-extinct MGP Nordic in 2002 and from 2006 to 2009. From 2003 to 2005, MGP Junior was Denmark's national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, a pan-European version of the format.

Aud Saskia Wilken is a Danish-German singer, best known for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995.

Denmark was represented by Birthe Wilke, with the song "Uh, jeg ville ønske jeg var dig", at the 1959 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 11 March in Cannes, France. "Uh, jeg ville ønske jeg var dig" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 12 February. Wilke had previously come third for Denmark in the 1957 contest in a duet with Gustav Winckler, who was one of her competitors in the 1959 DMGP.

Daze is a Danish Eurodance band whose 1997 debut album Super Heroes became a double platinum international hit. The band is a trio composed of Lucas Sieber, Jesper Tønnov, and Trine Bix, and their style of "zany" "turbo-pop" music is compared to the Danish-Norwegian pop band Aqua. Super Heroes, initially published in Scandinavia by Sony Music, sold 31,000 copies on the release day and was later released in the United States by Columbia Records and in Non-Nordic global territories by Epic Records. Hit singles included "Superhero", "Tamagotchi" and "Toy Boy". In February 1998, Daze won the Danish Grammy Award for Best Dance Album of 1997. The single Superhero was nominated as 1997 Danish hit of the year by G.A.F.F.A. magazine. It was also very famous in Argentina during those years.

Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Cliche Love Song" written by Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Daniel Fält and Basim. The song was performed by Basim. In addition to participating in the contest, the Danish broadcaster DR also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the competition in 2013 with the song "Only Teardrops" performed by Emmelie de Forest. DR organised the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014 in order to select the Danish entry for the 2014 contest in Copenhagen. Ten songs competed in a televised show where "Cliche Love Song" performed by Basim was the winner as decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting over two rounds.
