Generica is the collective title of a series of five EPs released by Jon Crosby, lead singer and founder of the rock band VAST.
The collection of songs was also released as a double-album with a plain white cover featuring Crosby's name and the album title, containing slightly different mixes of some tracks. [1]
In late 2007 and early 2008, Jon Crosby released five download-only EPs on the band's website, under the collective title Generica, which was to be "an exploration of people, places and American music." The first three volumes were composed of solo acoustic guitar songs, while the last two were recorded along with VAST band members under the name "Jon Crosby And The Resonator Band". Crosby stressed the difference between this outfit and VAST:
When we put out "April" we were toying with the idea of releasing it as a JCRB album because the style was such a departure from previous VAST music. But then I thought, just because the music is different that doesn't mean it has to be a side project. Plus, a side project with the same members seemed a little bizarre. As we were recording the songs that would eventually go on Generica five we planned on putting them on a VAST album. Commercially it would have made more sense because people have heard of VAST but most people have not heard of JCRB. But to me, this music isn't VAST.

Then: The Earlier Years is a double album compilation by the band They Might Be Giants, released in 1997. Then contains the album Lincoln in its entirety, the albums They Might Be Giants and Miscellaneous T which are each missing one track, a few otherwise unreleased songs from their 1985 Demo Tape and other songs previously unreleased. The song missing from Miscellaneous T is "(She Was a) Hotel Detective " and the song missing from They Might Be Giants is the album version of "Don't Let's Start", as it was replaced in its appropriate place in the track listing by the single version of the same song from Miscellaneous T.
Origin is a demo album by American rock band Evanescence. A compilation of home-recorded demos from 1996-1999, the CD was self-released and sold at local shows, and then packaged to showcase to record labels. A total of 2,000 copies were made and sold by the Bigwig Enterprises website from November 4, 2000 to 2003. Origin contains demos written and recorded by co-founders Amy Lee and Ben Moody for their earlier independent EPs in the 1990s, including "Whisper", "Imaginary", and "My Immortal", which appear on their debut album Fallen (2003).
Nude is the third studio album by the band VAST, released on Carson Daly's independent label 456 Entertainment. It was released on February 24, 2004. The album is made up of remastered and remixed demos from the online Turquoise & Crimson releases.
Music for People is the second album by the band VAST, released in September 12, 2000 by Elektra Records. It would be VAST's last album on Elektra Records. After the success of VAST's debut album, Music for People could only produce one successful single, "Free", which gained major MTV exposure. However, after the mixed success of the album, VAST and Elektra Records parted ways over disappointing sales and differing views on the future of the band.

She has released ten solo albums, beginning with 1996's Broken Girl, and is also the lead singer for the band Julie and the Wrong Guys.
Bad Moon Rising: The Best of Creedence Clearwater Revival is a compilation album of the major hits from American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was released in 2003.
"Turn the Page" is a song originally recorded by Bob Seger in 1971 and released on his Back in '72 album in 1973. It was not released as a single until Seger's live version of the song on the 1976 Live Bullet album got released in Germany and the UK. The song became a mainstay of album-oriented rock radio stations, and still gets significant airplay on classic rock stations.
"In My Room" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Gary Usher for the American rock band the Beach Boys. It was released on their 1963 album Surfer Girl. It was also released as the B-side of the "Be True to Your School" single. The single peaked at number 23 in the U.S. and was eventually inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. "In My Room" was ranked number 212 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Troubadour is the fourth studio album by J. J. Cale. Eric Clapton covered the song "Cocaine" on his 1977 album Slowhand, turning it into one of his biggest hits.
Don't Let's Start is a 1989 b-side and remix compilation album by the alternative rock band They Might Be Giants. It was only available in the UK and West Germany, and can be seen as the predecessor to Miscellaneous T, which includes all of the tracks from this release and an additional track, "Hello Radio". The tracks on here mostly originate as b-sides from various EPs released such as Don't Let's Start and (She Was A) Hotel Detective
That Travelin' Two-Beat is a duet album by Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney recorded in 1964 and released on Capitol Records in 1965.
Creedence Clearwater Revival: Box Set is a career-spanning box set by Creedence Clearwater Revival, released in 2001. It contains the entirety of their seven studio albums, two live albums, and material recorded by the band under their previous names "The Golliwogs" and "The Blue Velvets", which comprises the majority of their released output. In November 2013, the box set was reissued with different artwork.
Turquoise & Crimson is a double-album released by the band VAST, their fourth album, released in 2006 under Jon Crosby's 2blossoms record label. The two discs contain re-mastered tracks found on the online release of Turquoise & Crimson and the major-label release of Nude, albeit in different mixes and with different production. The track listing is also different on the retail version than the official online version. Frontman Jon Crosby has said that the retail version is the official final version of the album.
April is the fifth album by the band VAST.
There Is a Season is a four-CD and one DVD box set by the American rock band the Byrds that was released on September 26, 2006 by Columbia/Legacy. It comprises 99 tracks and includes material from every one of the band's twelve studio albums, presented in roughly chronological order. The bonus DVD features ten clips of the Byrds lip-synching their hits on television programs between 1965 and 1967. Upon release, the box set failed to reach the Billboard 200 chart or the UK Albums Chart. There Is a Season supplants the band's earlier box set, The Byrds, which was released in October 1990.
Turquoise & Crimson is the collection of Turquoise 3.x and Crimson 3.x released in a span from 2002 to 2004 online through VAST's website. EPs titled Turquoise 3.x and Crimson 3.x were released in lo-fi mp3 quality before being compiled onto the online release entitled Turquoise & Crimson. After the two EPs were released, many of the songs found their way onto the major-label backed album Nude with different mixes before finding their way onto the official double album release. However, there are two versions of Turquoise & Crimson; an official online version and an official "final" release released to retail.
Me and You is the sixth studio album by the band VAST. It compiles songs from Crosby's Generica series and models them in a more electronic, full band approach. Me and You was released to retail May 26, 2009 on Crosby's independent label, 2blossoms. When the album was purchased from the official VAST website, buyers had the option of choosing a charity to which to donate part of the sale proceeds.
