Geoffrey Alan Millar (born 22 November 1955) is a former Australian cricketer who played several matches for Western Australia during the early 1980s. From Perth,Millar played at colts level during the late 1970s,generally as an all-rounder. [1] He made his Sheffield Shield debut for Western Australia during the 1981–82 competition,and failed to take a wicket in what was to be his only first-class match. [2] In the match,against Queensland at the WACA Ground in February 1982,he was part of a pace attack that included David Boyd (who he opened the bowling with in the first innings),Mick Malone,and Ken MacLeay. [3] Millar also appeared at List A level several times for Western Australia. In his first match,the third-place playoff of the 1981–82 McDonald's Cup,he took 2/17 and scored 30 runs,and was thus named man of the match. [4] His two further matches both occurred in the following year's tournament. [5] At grade cricket level,Millar played 177 matches for the Mount Lawley District Cricket Club. [6]
Trevor Martin Chappell is a former Australian cricketer,a member of the South Australian Chappell family which excelled at cricket. He played 3 tests and 20 One Day Internationals for Australia. He won the Sheffield Shield with New South Wales twice,and scored a century for Australia against India in the 1983 World Cup. His career was overshadowed,however,by an incident in 1981 in which he bowled an underarm delivery to New Zealand cricketer Brian McKechnie to prevent the batsman from hitting a six.

The Western Australian men’s cricket team,formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors,represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA),and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. The team mainly plays matches against other Australian states in the first-class Sheffield Shield competition and the limited-overs JLT One-Day Cup,but occasionally plays matches against touring international sides. Western Australia previously also fielded sides at Twenty20 level,but was replaced by the Perth Scorchers for the inaugural 2011–12 season of the Big Bash League. Dirk MacDonald Wellham is a former Australian cricketer who played in six Test matches and 17 One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1981 and 1987. He is one of three players to score a century in both his first class and Test debuts. He was the first player to captain three Australian states having captained New South Wales,Tasmania and Queensland during his career. As NSW captain,he won the Sheffield Shield in 1984–85 and 1985–86 and the McDonald's Cup in 1984–85.He is the nephew of New South Wales first-class cricketer Walter Wellham.

Thomas Edmund O'Dwyer was an Australian cricketer who played 15 first-class matches for Western Australia between 1946 and 1960. He is best known as the last player to dismiss Donald Bradman in a first-class match in Australia. O'Dwyer was born in Bridgetown,Western Australia,to John and Isabel O'Dwyer. His father was manager of the local Lands Department office. O'Dwyer's family moved to Perth when he was five,and he attended St. Patricks College. He began playing cricket with the North Perth C-grade team,and later played for Subiaco and Mount Lawley in the WACA District competition.
Bruce Malcolm Laird is a former Western Australian and Australian cricketer. He was an opening batsmen who played in 21 Test matches and 23 One Day Internationals. He also played 13 "Supertests" in World Series Cricket.
Shaun Francis Graf is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played 11 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Australia in the early 1980s as an all-rounder. He represented Western Australia as well as his native Victoria in the Sheffield Shield and also played county cricket for Hampshire. He was part of Sheffield Shield-winning sides in 1979–80 (Victoria) and 1983–84.

He was an all-rounder who played for Queensland between 1969–70 and 1980–81. He played his two Test matches for Australia v England in the 1978–79 Ashes series and the four One Day Internationals against the same opponents. He was called up by Australia when most of their regular first-choice players were playing in World Series Cricket.

Paul John Davis is an Australian cricketer who previously played several matches for Western Australia in domestic competitions. From Perth,Davis represented Western Australia at both under-17 and under-19 level,as well as playing grade cricket for Mount Lawley. Having previously played several matches for the state second XI,he made his limited-overs debut for Western Australia late in the 2007–08 season of the Ford Ranger Cup,against Victoria at the WACA Ground. In his second match,Davis took 3/49 to help dismiss Queensland for 111,bowling alongside Steve Magoffin and Ben Edmondson. Due to this form,he gained a full contract with the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) for the following season.

It started on 26 October 2017 and finished on 27 March 2018. The opening round of matches were played as day/night fixtures and the first three rounds of matches took place before the Ashes series.
