George Scala Chuter (born 9 July 1976) is an English rugby union ex player who played at Hooker for Leicester Tigers.
Chuter was born in Greenwich. He first started playing as a 12-year-old, when he went to Trinity School of John Whitgift in the London Borough of Croydon. [2] He quickly established himself at hooker. He went on to play his club rugby for Old Mid-Whitgiftians and gained representative honours for the London Division U18 side.
Chuter was invited to trial for Saracens F.C. at the age of 19, where he played for five years.
Chuter took a year off and decided to travel in the U.S. and Australia; [3] he was in Sydney for the 2000 Olympic Games. On returning he signed for Leicester Tigers in December 2000. [4] After the departure of Richard Cockerill in the summer of 2002, he competed with Dorian West as first choice hooker.
In the 2006–07 season, Chuter played as Leicester won the final of the Guinness Premiership [5] and Heineken Cup. [6]
Chuter started in the final of the 2008–09 Guinness Premiership, which Leicester won, [7] and 2008–09 Heineken Cup. [8] Chuter started in the final of the 2009–10 Guinness Premiership, winning his third Premiership medal. [9]
Chuter retired in 2014.
Chuter is currently Director of Rugby at Hinckley Rugby Club.
In 1994–95 Chuter won his first cap for England Colts against Scotland and also went on that year's summer tour to Canada. In 1998 he made a try-scoring debut for England A against France A at Tours, and in the same year went on the senior England 'tour to hell' against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, [10] featuring in the uncapped match at Invercargill against New Zealand Academy. [2]
In 2003 Chuter was back in the England reckoning, and in 2004 was a member of the England A squad at the 2004 Churchill Cup in Canada. [11] He was then selected for the Elite Player Squad but a second citing in October resulted in his missing the opportunity to take part in the November Tests. [12] Chuter made his debut against Australia during England's 2006 Tour of Australia. [13] In the second test of the series and his second England appearance Chuter scored a try in a 43–18 defeat. [14]
Sporting a full beard, he featured in the 2007 World Cup squad, [15] battling with Mark Regan for the role of first-choice hooker. Chuter was a used replacement in the 2007 Rugby World Cup Final. [16]

A versatile player his principal positions were number eight and blindside flanker, he also played lock more as his career progressed.

Richard Cockerill is an English rugby union coach and former player and was most recently the manager of Top 14 side Montpellier. He was the England national team's interim head coach between Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick. He played as a hooker, spending the majority of his career at Leicester Tigers where he played 255 games over two spells, he won 27 caps for England and was included in the 1999 Rugby World Cup squad. He won five league titles, two European Cups and two domestic cups as a player.

Mark Regan MBE is an English former rugby union player. Nicknamed 'Ronnie', he played as a hooker for Bristol, Bath, Leeds Tykes as well as England and the British and Irish Lions.
Stephen William Borthwick is an English rugby union coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the England national team. As a player, he played as a lock for Bath and Saracens. At international level, he played for England 57 times from his debut in 2001; he served as captain from 2008 until he was dropped from the side in 2010.

During his playing career his position was fly half or inside centre. He played over 300 games in his club career across his three professional clubs, Newcastle Falcons, Toulouse and Leicester Tigers. He played 60 international matches for England between 2006 and 2014.
Anthony Allen is a former England international rugby union player and coach. He played for Premiership Rugby club Gloucester 91 times between 2005 and 2009 then 126 times for Leicester Tigers as a centre before his retirement due to injury in 2015. He was a Premiership champion in 2010 and 2013, where he was named man of the match in the final.
Daniel James Hipkiss is a retired rugby union player who won 13 caps for England between 2007–10, including the 2007 Rugby World Cup Final. Hipkiss played 130 times for Leicester Tigers between 2001–11 before moving to Bath prior to retiring in May 2013. Principally an outside centre Hipkiss also played inside centre, and earlier in his career on the wing.

Paul Gustard is a former rugby union footballer who played for Leicester Tigers, London Irish and Saracens at flanker. He was captain of rugby and educated at the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle and is the son of former Gosforth favourite Steve Gustard, who was the club's leading try scorer for several seasons in the late 1970s. He gained Full County Cap honours with Durham County and was selected to captain the England U21 tour to Australia under manager Jeff Probyn. He was the only player not to be attached to a Premiership Rugby Squad.
