McKee began playing Australian rules football with the Central District Football Club in the SANFL Women's League. In 2022, she produced a breakout game against West Adelaide with four second-half goals and seven tackles, finishing her debut season with 11 goals from nine matches, along with averages of 13.7 disposals and 3.6 inside 50s per game. [1]
She missed the 2023 season due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury but returned in 2024 to represent South Australia at the AFL Women's Under-18 Championships, where she was named the state's Most Valuable Player. [2] She also earned selection in the AFLW National Academy intake for 2024. [3]
McKee’s 2024 SANFLW season included strong performances in the forward line, with consistent goal kicking and forward pressure. [4] She was invited to the AFLW draft combine in September 2024, joining other South Australian prospects. [5]
Adelaide selected McKee with pick No. 44 in the 2024 AFL Women's draft. [6] [7] The club described her as a “dangerous small forward” with strong finishing skills and the ability to kick on both sides of her body. [8]
In June 2025, McKee ruptured her ACL during a training session and was ruled out for the entire 2025 AFLW season. She was placed on the club’s inactive list. [9] [10]
McKee is recognised for her agility, goal sense, and forward craft. She applies strong defensive pressure inside 50 and is regarded as a creative and opportunistic small forward. [1] [4]
