Georgina Anne Lee (born 14 August 1981) is a female English former competitive swimmer.
Lee represented Great Britain in the Olympics and European championships, and competed for England in the Commonwealth Games. [1]
Lee won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. She was also a bronze medallist at the European SC Championships in 2001.
Lee represented Great Britain at both the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. In Sydney she reached the semifinal in the 200-metre butterfly, breaking the British Record and finishing in 10th place. In Athens she reached the semifinal in the 200-metre butterfly, again finishing in 10th place, and she reached the final in both the 4×100-metre medley relay and the 4×200-metre freestyle relay. She also competed in the 100-metre butterfly but did not progress beyond the heats. [1]
Lee set 14 British records between 2000 and 2004, and at the ASA National British Championships she won the 100 metres butterfly title in 2001, 2002 and 2004 and the 200 metres butterfly title in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004. [2]
Attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, between 2001 and 2004, Lee won two titles at the U.S. National Championships in 2003. She was also champion and runner-up at the NCAA national collegiate championships, and she was awarded an NCAA postgraduate scholarship upon graduation.
Lee was born the youngest of 6 children and was educated at King Edward VI High School For Girls in Birmingham. In 1999 her father, Malcolm Lee, died from a heart attack. [3] In 2003 her brother, Adrian Lee, died in a suspected suicide from an overdose of prescribed pills for depression. Lee did not talk publicly about her brother's death until a year later, when she gave an interview in April 2004 to Craig Lord of The Times. [4]

Otylia Jędrzejczak is a Polish swimmer. She was the Olympic champion from 2004 Athens in the 200 metre butterfly. She finished 4th in this event in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and also swam at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. In Athens 2004 she also silvered in 400 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly. Three times she broke the world record in the women's 200 m butterfly.
Leisel Marie Jones, OAM is an Australian former competition swimmer and Olympic gold medallist. A participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics – at just 15 years old – and 2004 Summer Olympics, she was part of gold-medal-winning Australian team in the women's 4×100-metre medley relay at the Athens Games in 2004 and a gold medallist for 100-metre breaststroke in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Malin Therese Alshammar is a Swedish swimmer who has won three Olympic medals, 25 World Championship medals, and 43 European Championship medals. She is a specialist in short distances races in freestyle and butterfly. She is coached by former Swedish swimmer Johan Wallberg. Formerly, he was a world record holder in the short course 100-metre butterfly and 200-metre butterfly.
Katerine Savard is a Canadian competitive swimmer who specializes in women's butterfly events and freestyle relay. She holds several Canadian national records in the butterfly over the 50-, 100-, and 200-metre distances in both the short and long courses. Savard also holds the Canadian junior butterfly record in the 200-metre event. She won the gold medal at the 100-metre butterfly event at the 2013 Summer Universiade, held in Kazan. Savard also won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the 100-metre butterfly in Glasgow, where she set the Commonwealth record in the process. At the same games, she won a bronze medal as a member of the women's 4×100-metre medley relay team.

Emma Jennifer McKeon, is a retired Australian competitive swimmer. She is an eight-time world record holder, three current and five former, in relays. Her total career haul of 14 Olympic medals following the 2024 Olympic Games made her the most decorated Australian, the third-most decorated swimmer, and the seventh-most decorated athlete in Olympic history and included one gold medal from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, four gold medals from the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and one gold medal from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. With four gold and three bronze medals she was the most decorated athlete across all sports at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and tied for the most medals won by a woman in a single Olympic Games. She also won 20 medals, including five gold medals, at the World Aquatics Championships; and a record 20 medals, including 14 gold, at the Commonwealth Games.
Duncan William MacNaughton Scott is a Scottish swimmer representing Great Britain at the FINA World Aquatics Championships, LEN European Aquatics Championships, European Games and the Olympic Games, and Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. Scott made history after winning four medals - more than any other British athlete at a single Olympic Games - in Tokyo 2020, simultaneously becoming Great Britain's most decorated swimmer in Olympic history. With an additional gold and silver medal in Paris 2024 bringing his total to eight, Scott became Scotland's most-decorated Olympian, and is currently tied with Bradley Wiggins as the second most-decorated Olympian in British history. Scott is the only athlete in the top three to still be actively competing, and the only member of the top four who is not a track cyclist.
Erin Gallagher is a South African swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. In 2019, she represented South Africa at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco.
Rebecca Meder is a South African swimmer. She is the African record holder in the 100 metre individual medley and the South African record holder in the long course and short course 200 metre individual medley. At the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she placed sixth in the final of the 100 metre individual medley. In the 200 metre individual medley at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she placed fourth in the final. At the 2021 African Championships, she won 11 gold medals, six in individual events and five in relay events, swimming on the finals relay for each of the five relay events.
