The Challenge is a reality competition show on MTV that is a spin-off of two of the network's reality shows, The Real World and Road Rules. Premiering in 1998, it originally featured alumni from these two shows. Casting for The Challenge has slowly expanded to include contestants who debuted on The Challenge itself, alumni from other MTV franchises including Are You the One?, Ex on the Beach, Geordie Shore, and from other non-MTV shows and competitions. Starting in 2018, new contestants were chosen outside of MTV network alumni from different networks like CBS and Bravo. The contestants compete against one another in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The winners of the final challenge win the competition and typically share a large cash prize. The Challenge is currently hosted by T. J. Lavin.

The twenty-third series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 15 February 2022, when Paramount+ introduced their new lineup of unscripted series and renewals for MTV Entertainment Studios, including the show's new spin-off, although they were scheduled to start in late 2020 and 2021 but have been postponed several times due to UK COVID-19 restrictions. Filming locations include a trip to the Algarve in Portugal, Ibiza and Newcastle upon Tyne. The tenth season of Acapulco Shore, a Mexican television programme based in Acapulco was announced in August 2022 and premiered on September 27, 2022. Filming started in June 2022 in the coastal city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, making this the second time the show is filmed in this city. Days after filming began rolling, a possible case of COVID-19 among cast members caused filming to be put on hold for a few days, before resuming. This season was announced in February 2022, via a Viacom press release. On August 28, 2022, the cast members were announced. This season marks the return of original cast member, Luis “Jawy” Méndez since his last appearance in Season 7. New cast members this season include Andrés Cervantes, Abel Robles, Elizabeth Varela, who previously participated in AYTO? and Resistiré, Ricardo “Ricky” Ochoa and Sebastián Gálvez, Alejandra Varela and Roberto Mora debuted later. The trailer of the season was released on September 12, 2022. Jaylin Castellanos and Rocío Sánchez were featured guests this season, while original castmember Fernando Lozada guest appeared in the final 2 episodes.
The fourth season of Ex on the Beach Italy, an Italian television programme, began airing on November 30, 2022, on MTV Italy and for the first time on Paramount+, after Paramount Global announced in September 2022 the acquisition of the rights to the series. It was filmed for the second time on an island in Cartagena, Colombia.

The twentieth series of Warsaw Shore, a Polish television programme based in Warsaw, Poland was announced on September 29, 2023, and began airing on 17 March 2024. The series was filmed in between November and December 2023 mainly in Warsaw and also in Łódź. This is also the first series not to include Milena Łaszek, Michał Sarnowski and Przemysław "Sequento" Skulski after their departures the previous season. The series also featured the return of Jeremiasz "Jez" Szmigiel. It will be also the first series to include four new cast members Diana Mościcka, Grzesiek Tomaszewski, Magda Pawińska and Olaf Majewski. The series will feature the brief returns of former cast members Damian "Stifler" Zduńczyk, Kasjusz "Don Kasjo" Życiński, Radosław "Diva" Majchrowski, Kamil Jagielski, and original cast member Anna "Mała" Aleksandrzak. Nathan Henry of Geordie Shore made a guest appearance for the second time, after the thirteenth series.
Aussie Shore is an Australian reality television series that premiered on October 3, 2024, on Paramount+. It is the first Australian branch of the American show Jersey Shore. The show follows the daily lives of twelve housemates who live together for several weeks in Cairns, Queensland.
