Gianaurelio Cuniberti (born 28 April 1970) is an Italian scientist and professor at TU Dresden in Germany. Since 2007 he has been chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at the TU Dresden. [1]
Professor Gianaurelio Cuniberti took his Diploma di Maturità (matriculation examination which can be compared to A-Level exams or Abitur .) in June 1989 at the Liceo Leonardo da Vinci in Genoa and studied physics at the University of Genoa between 1989 and 1994,where he obtained his bachelor's degree and masters in science. He received his PhD in 1997.
In 1994 he was a visiting scientist at MIT and in the period between 1997 and 1998 was postdoctoral research associate at the University of Genoa,Italy. He moved then to Germany,where he spent the years between 1998 and 2002 as guest scientist at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems,Dresden,Germany (since 2001 as a Schloeßmann fellow). Between the years 2003 to 2008 he was head of the Volkswagen Foundation independent research group “Molecular Computing”,Department of Physics,University of Regensburg,Germany.
Since October 2017 Cuniberti has been full professor (W3) at TU Dresden,Germany. [1]
He is part of the board of trustees of the Society of Friends of the Staatskapelle Dresden, [2] one of the oldest orchestras in the word still performing [3] with a top 10 reputation. [4] He is member of the board of trustees of the Italien-Zentrum Dresden,a cultural platform for the exchange between Italy and Saxony. [5] He also serves as a member of the board of trustees of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany. [6]
He was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2022 "for pioneering computational and experimental works on low-dimensional structures and lasting contributions to the atom-to-system understanding of nanoelectronics devices". [7]

He also makes regular guest appearances with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2020,Thielemann was appointed honorary professor at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden.
Udo Zimmermann was a German composer,musicologist,opera director,and conductor. He worked as a professor of composition,founded a centre for contemporary music in Dresden,and was director of the Leipzig Opera and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He directed a contemporary music series for the Bayerischer Rundfunk and a European centre of the arts in Hellerau. His operas,especially Weiße Rose,on a topic he set to music twice,have been performed internationally,and recorded.
Achim Richter is a German nuclear physicist. He became a professor at the Institute of Nuclear Physics at the Darmstadt University of Technology in 1974 and retired in September 2008. From 1 November 2008 to 31 October 2012 he was director of the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*) in Trento,Italy. Since November 1,2012,he has been professor again at the Institute for Nuclear Physics of TU Darmstadt.

Martin Hrabĕde Angelis is a German geneticist and director of the Institute of Experimental Genetics at Helmholtz Zentrum München and director of the European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA) in Monterotondo,Italy. Since 2003 he has held the Chair of Experimental Genetics at Technische Universität München. He is co-founder,speaker and board member of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD). His research focuses on metabolism and diabetes,large-scale functional genomics/genetics and epigenetics.

He was professor at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen,the Musikhochschule Köln,the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music and,for more than three decades,at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. He also taught at the Darmstädter Ferienkurse.

The Dresdner Kapellsolisten is a German chamber orchestra based in Dresden. The ensemble of soloists was formed in 1994 mostly by members of the Staatskapelle Dresden,directed by double bassist Helmut Branny. They play mostly music of the 18th to 20th centuries,on modern instruments but in historically informed performances. They focus on music by less-known composers from the 18th to 20th centuries,namely composers from Dresden. The chamber orchestra has performed in Germany,Southern Europe,Japan and South Korea,including festivals such as Mozart Festival Würzburg and Rheingau Musik Festival. They have produced numerous recordings.
Helmut Branny is a German conductor,double bassist and professor of chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. He is a member of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden,musical director of the Dresdner Kapellsolisten and the Cappella Musica Dresden. With the Kapellsolisten,he has made many recordings,and toured internationally.
Jürgen W. Czarske is a German electrical engineer and a measurement system technician. He is the director of the TU Dresden Biomedical Computational Laser Systems competence center and a co-opted professor of physics.
