The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Adam Joseph van Koeverden is a Canadian sprint kayaker and politician. He is an Olympic gold medallist in the K-1 500m category (2004) and a two-time world champion in K-1 500 (2007) and K-1 1000 (2011), winning four Olympic and eight world championship medals. His home club is the Burloak Canoe Club in Oakville, Ontario.

Patricia Jean "Patty" Van Wolvelaere is a retired hurdler from the United States who competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics Olympics. Her best finish was the fourth place in the 80 m event in 1968. She won the 100 m hurdles at the 1971 Pan American Games and held four national outdoor titles in this event, in 1971, 1973–74 and 1977. Van Wolvelaere also won the National Indoor Championships in the 60 yard hurdles six times between 1967 and 1974, including four in a row in 1971–74.

Edwin Fisher Gilbert was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. He competed for the gold medal-winning U.S. team in the qualifying heats of the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay. Gilbert did not receive a medal under the Olympic swimming rules in effect in 1948; only relay swimmers who competed in the event final were medal-eligible.
