Gimlebreen is a glacier in Gustav V Land at Nordaustlandet, Svalbard. It is located north of the headland of Brageneset. Gimlebreen is a glacier stream from the large icecap Vestfonna. [1] [2]

Wahlenbergfjorden Fjord

Wahlenbergfjorden, sometimes known in English as Waalenburg Bay, is a fjord on the southwest coast of the Arctic island of Nordaustlandet, in Norway's Svalbard archipelago. At 46 kilometres (29 mi) in length, and 15 km (9.3 mi) wide, it is the fifth longest fjord in the archipelago, and the longest on the island. The fjord separates Gustav V Land in the north from Gustav Adolf Land in the south, at geographical co-ordinates 79°40′N20°00′E. Balderfonna is a glacier in Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It is located on Ny-Friesland, between Hinlopen Strait and Lomfjorden. It is named after the Norse god Balder. Former names of the glacier include Lovén Plateau and Névé dôme Balder. Further north on Lomfjordhalvøya is Torsfonna.

Lomfjordhalvøya

Lomfjordhalvøya is a peninsula at the northeastern part of Ny-Friesland on Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It is 44 kilometers long, and 24 kilometers wide at its base. It is located between Lomfjorden and Hinlopen Strait. Its northern tip is Kapp Fanshawe. Former names of the peninsula include Terre Margareta and Margaretas Land. The peninsula is covered by two glaciers, Balderfonna and Torsfonna. It also includes the large nesting cliffs of Lovénberget.

Vegafonna

Vegafonna is an ice cap in Gustav Adolf Land on Nordaustlandet in the Svalbard archipelago. It is located on the peninsula Scaniahalvøya, between the bay Palanderbukta to the north and Torellneset to the south. The glacier is named after the vessel SS Vega. Further west on the peninsula is the ice cap Glitnefonna.

Valhallfonna is an ice cap in Ny-Friesland at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It is located west of Hinlopen Strait and northeast of Åsgardfonna. The glacier covers an area of about 1,000 km2.

Smeerenburgbreen

Smeerenburgbreen is a glacier in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It is located east of Reuschhalvøya. The glacier debouches into Bjørnfjorden, the inner part of Smeerenburgfjorden. Smeerenburg was the name of a Dutch whaling station from the 17th century located on Amsterdam Island.

Vonbreen is a glacier in Haakon VII Land and Andrée Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has an extension of about 25 kilometers, and is located south of Woodfjorden. The name is a translation of the German language Hoffnungs-Gletscher, suggested by Bock and Poninski in 1908. The glacier borders to Eidsvollfjellet, the highest mountain in Haakon VII Land.

Woodfjorddalen is a valley in Andrée Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It forms a southeastward continuation of the fjord Woodfjorden. The upper part of the valley is covered by the glacier Abrahamsenbreen. At the lower part of the valley is the flat sand and clay area Poninskiøyra and the hill Tantalushaugen. A side valley to the south is Piræusdalen, six kilometers from the head of Woodfjorden. North of the valley is the mountain group Vaktarfjella, with a length of about eleven kilometers.

Tinayrebreen is a glacier in Haakon VII Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of about ten kilometers, and extends from the glacier cap of Isachsenfonna to Möllerfjorden, where it debouches into the bay of Tinayrebukta. The glacier is named after French painter Jean Paul Louis Tinayre.

It originates from Neubauerfjellet, and debouches into the bay of Mayerbukta in Möllerfjorden. The glacier is named after Louis Benoit Joseph Mayer, counsellor of Albert I, Prince of Monaco. The mountain of Snødomen is located between the glaciers of Mayerbreen and Tinayrebreen.

Winsnesbreen is a glacier on Nordaustlandet, Svalbard. It is named after geologist Thore Schanke Winsnes. The glacier is situated between Etonbreen and Helvetesflya. The lake of Brånevatnet is located between Winsnesbreen and Oxfordhalvøya at the head of Wahlenbergfjorden.
