The Ginetta G56 is a British sportscar created by Ginetta Cars. It is the successor to Ginetta G55.
In 2021, Ginetta launched the Ginetta G56 GT4, replacing the old and highly successful Ginetta G55 GT4. [1] The car competes primarily in the British GT Championship in the GT4 Category. The car features a Ginetta built 6.2 litre V8 engine, with a power output of 500 hp. [2]
On November 1, 2023, Ginetta unveiled the G56 GT4 EVO, designed for 2024 onward. This car is an evolution of the G56, and features updated bodywork, most notably the front bonnet, and the rear wing being changed. The car made its global racing debut at a 4-hour GT4 race in the Ultimate cup series in October 2023. [3]
Alongside the G56 GT4, Ginetta also launched the G56 GTA, replacing the G55 GTA in its GT academy championship. The car is powered by a 270 bhp Ford 3.7 litre V6 engine. The car can also be upgraded to the G56 GT Pro, which has a more powerful engine. The car also doesn't feature any headlights. [4]
Alongside the G56 GT4 EVO, Ginetta also debuted the Ginetta G56 GTX. This is an unrestricted version of the GT4 EVO, featuring enhanced aerodynamics, and an unrestricted version of the engine used in the GT4 version. The car made its racing debut in the 24H Series, at the 2023 12 Hours of Kuwait, taking victory in the GTX class. [5] It would also race in the 2024 GT2 European Series as an Invitational entry during round 3 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. [6]
The Ginetta G56 GTR is the road going version of the G56. It features a Ginetta 6.2 litre V8 engine which give 450 bhp, and an H-pattern Gearbox. [4]

The Ginetta GT4 Supercup is a one-make racing, Sports car racing series based in the United Kingdom, using identical Ginetta G50 and G55 sports cars. The championship supported the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) until the end of the 2022 season, then became a class in the British Endurance Championship run by Britcar.
The Ginetta G55 is a specialist sports car, which has been built by Ginetta Cars since 2011. It is built to the FIA GT3 regulations, and the cars are raced in a one-make series; the Ginetta GT Supercup. In addition to this, they are also used in the GT3 class of competitions such as the British GT Championship. It was an evolutionary update of the Ginetta G50, which is a GT4-class car.
Group GT3, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars and commonly referred to as simply GT3, is a set of regulations maintained by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for grand tourer racing cars designed for use in various auto racing series throughout the world. The GT3 category was initially created in 2005 by the SRO Motorsports Group as a third rung in the ladder of grand touring motorsport, below the Group GT1 and Group GT2 categories which were utilized in the SRO's FIA GT Championship, and launched its own series in 2006 called the FIA GT3 European Championship. Since then, Group GT3 has expanded to become the de facto category for many national and international grand touring series, although some series modify the ruleset from the FIA standard. By 2013, nearly 20 automobile manufacturers have built or been represented with GT3 machines.
The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door sports cars produced by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on 9 September 2014 and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. While not directly replacing the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A high performance variant called the GT R was introduced in 2016. A GT4 racing variant, targeted at semi-professional drivers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. In 2021, a new variant called the AMG GT Black Series was released. All variants are assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.

The 2018 British GT Championship was the 26th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO). The season began on 31 March at Oulton Park and finished on 23 September at Donington Park, after nine rounds held over seven meetings.
The 2022 Prototype Cup Germany was the first season of the series, with German automobile club ADAC securing exclusive rights in Germany for ACO-rules LMP3 class racing, and Creventic organizing and promoting the series. The races will be contested with Le Mans Prototype and Group CN cars.
SRO GT2 is a class of grand tourer racing cars maintained by the SRO Motorsports Group. Despite the name, this class slots between GT4 and GT3 in terms of performance. The cars have more power than GT3 cars, with the most powerful entries at nearly 700 horsepower. However, they don’t have anywhere nearly as much downforce as a GT3 car. It also shouldn’t be confused with the Group GT2 from the early 2000s, which evolved into the now-defunct LM GTE class. The class uses a balance of performance to allow for close competition between competitors.
Vortex SAS is a French auto racing team founded by brothers Arnaud and Olivier Gomez in 2015. After competing in silhouette race cars for a number of years, the team was created by the Gomez brothers. Competing as Vortex V8, they build and run their own lightweight GT cars that compete in the 24H Series, Ultimate Cup Series and Campeonato de España de GT.
Erwan Bastard is a French racing driver and engineering student. He will be competing for Saintéloc Junior Team in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, having taken the GT4 European Series and French GT4 Cup titles alongside Roee Meyuhas in 2022.

The 2024 British GT Championship is the 32nd British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the SRO Motorsports Group. The season began on 30 March at Oulton Park and will end on 29 September at Brands Hatch.
The 2024 24 Hours of Spa was the 77th running of the 24 Hours of Spa and its centenary anniversary edition. The race took place from 29 to 30 June 2024. The race is part of both the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the 2024 Intercontinental GT Challenge.
