Gino Vendetti is a former Canadian Paralympic athlete. He competed in para-athletics and in powerlifting and he won three silver medals and a bronze medal at the Summer Paralympics. He won a silver medal in powerlifting at the 1984 Summer Paralympics held in Stoke Mandeville, United Kingdom and New York City, United States. [1] He also won the bronze medal in the men's 800 metres C4 event. [2] At the 1988 Summer Paralympics held in Seoul, South Korea, he won the silver medal in both the men's 200 metres C4-5 and the men's 400 metres C4-5 events. [2]

In 2015, he carried the torch as part of the torch relay of the Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada. [3] [4]

In 2021, he did not perform a successful lift in the men's 72 kg event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Omar Sami Hamadeh Qarada is a Jordanian Paralympic powerlifter. He is a three-time medalist at the Summer Paralympics, including gold in 2021, and a four-time medalist, including two gold medals, at the World Para Powerlifting Championships. He is the first powerlifter representing Jordan to win a gold medal at the Paralympics.

Shaaban Ibrahim is an Egyptian Paralympic powerlifter. He represented Egypt at the Summer Paralympics three times: in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Abdelkareem Mohmmad Ahmad Khattab is a Jordanian Paralympic powerlifter. He won the gold medal in the men's 88 kg event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. He also set a new Paralympic record of 231 kg. A few months later, he won the gold medal in his event at the 2021 World Para Powerlifting Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia. He also set a new world record of 250 kg.

Hany Abdelhady is an Egyptian Paralympic powerlifter. He won the gold medal in the men's 90 kg event at the 2012 Summer Paralympics held in London, United Kingdom. He also won the gold medal in his event at the 2010 IPC Powerlifting World Championships held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
