Giovanni Bia (born 24 October 1968) is a former Italian footballer who played as a defender.

He made his Serie A debut on 5 April 1992 with Parma in a 1–1 draw against Cagliari. He also played for Napoli, Inter, Bologna, Udinese and Brescia. During the 1992–93 season, he played in Serie B with Cosenza. It was a very successful season that proved to be a breakthrough for Bia when he was recruited by Napoli, whose manager at the time was Marcello Lippi. His most successful seasons were probably from 1995 to 1997 when he played for Udinese, under the guidance of Alberto Zaccheroni, and also the three seasons he played for Bologna. In his career, he also wore the colours of Perugia (Serie C1 and C2), Trento (C1) and Reggiana (C1), in addition to that of Ligue 2 side Saint Etienne in France.

In total, he made 194 appearances in Serie A, scoring 15 goals.

He is currently the agent of players such as Luca Cigarini, Daniele Dessena and Federico Macheda. [1] [2] [3] [4]

The 2009–10 season was Associazione Sportiva Roma's 77th season in Serie A. The club competed in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Europa League. Roma finished second in Serie A with 80 points, two points behind Inter.

The 2009–10 S.S.C. Napoli season was the club's 67th season in Serie A, its third consecutive season in Serie A and its 83rd season overall.

Parma Associazione Calcio eased through the infamous second season following promotion, and ended it in style by winning Coppa Italia, the club's first ever significant silverware. Its inaugural European adventure was in the autumn of 1991, when it lost to CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria in the first round of the UEFA Cup. It did not improve on 1991's famous fifth place in Serie A as rookies, but only slipped one position, with the defence playing as well as ever. The lack of a top scorer cost Parma the chance to fight Torino for third in the championship.

Parma Associazione Calcio played its third consecutive season in Serie A, and had arguably its best ever season, even when considering its glorious years in the late 1990s. It finished third in the domestic league competition and won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup following a 3–1 final victory against Royal Antwerp.

The 1996–97 season was Parma Associazione Calcio's seventh consecutive season in Serie A. The team competed in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Cup, where it suffered a shock first round exit to Portuguese club Vitória de Guimarães.

Udinese Calcio had its best season since the days of Zico in the club during the 1980s. With goal scoring trio Oliver Bierhoff, Márcio Amoroso and Paolo Poggi on top form, Udinese finished fifth, even troubling the top three in the standings. Bierhoff and Poggi scored 13 goals each, while Amoroso hit the back of the net on 12 occasions. Despite the sensational results, coach Alberto Zaccheroni remained at the small club, while 1997–98 looked set to become a further improvement for Udinese.

Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli's 2010–11 season was its 68th in Serie A, and fourth consecutive year in the top flight. Napoli will also take part in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League as a result of finishing 6th in the 2009–10 Serie A table, its highest in Serie A since it also finished 6th in 1993–94.

Piacenza Calcio once again survived in Serie A, this time being on the brink of relegation, and having to beat Cagliari in Naples in a so-called spareggio to decide which team would stay up. Thanks to a 3–1 victory, Piacenza was able to hang onto their Serie A status, which was all that could be expected from new coach Bortolo Mutti. Despite losing Nicola Caccia to Napoli, Piacenza was able to count on a reliable goal scorer in Pasquale Luiso, who grabbed 14 goals in his debut season in Serie A.

Piacenza Calcio recorded their best ever finish in the top echelon of Italian football, finishing 12th in Serie A, but just two points above the relegation zone. This was in spite of key players Pasquale Luiso (Vicenza) and Eusebio Di Francesco (Roma) leaving the club before the season began.

Piacenza Calcio crashed out of Serie A, following a dismal season. With ex-Inter coach Luigi Simoni at the helm, the club was looking to climb into midtable in Serie A, but the absence of Simone Inzaghi and the ageing of several key players rendered disastrous form, and Simoni was soon sacked. In the end, Piacenza finished rock bottom of the table and their five-year stint in the top flight was ended.

The 1990–91 season was Parma Associazione Calcio's 78th in Italian football and their first ever season in the Serie A. It was Nevio Scala's second year at the club, as Parma achieved promotion the previous season, by finishing in fourth place. In their first season, they finished in sixth place, before securing a UEFA Cup spot. In the Coppa Italia, they were eliminated 2–0 on aggregate by Fiorentina in the second round, after two legs. Alberto Di Chiara, who went on to join the club the same season, and Stefano Borgonovo, scored the goals.

The 2018–19 Serie A was the 117th season of top-tier Italian football, the 87th in a round-robin tournament, and the 9th since its organization under a league committee separate from Serie B. Juventus were the seven-time defending champions and defended their title following their victory against Fiorentina on 20 April 2019. The season was run from 18 August 2018 to 26 May 2019.

The 2018–19 season was Cagliari Calcio's third season back in Serie A after being relegated at the end of the 2014–15 season. The club competed in Serie A, finishing 15th, and in the Coppa Italia, where they were eliminated in the round of 16.

The 2020–21 ACF Fiorentina season was the club's 94th season in existence and the club's 17th consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. In addition to the domestic league, Fiorentina participated in this season's edition of the Coppa Italia. The season covered the period from 3 August 2020 to 30 June 2021.
