Yerra Seshagiri Rao, popularly known as Giri Babu, is an Indian actor, producer, and director who primarily woks in Telugu films. [1] His son, Raghu Babu, is a notable actor-director.

Career

Giri Babu hails from a middle class agricultural family in Ravinuthala village Prakasam district. He moved to Madras to pursue a career in films. Babu started his career as a lead actor but later portrayed antagonistic and comedic roles. [1]

He gained recognition with the 1974 film Tirupati, directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. He has acted in over 350 feature films. He has served in various positions in the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation. Sarathi, also called Kadali Jaya Sarathi, was an Indian comedic actor and producer in the Telugu film industry. His most notable roles are in Manavuri Pandavulu, Bobilli Brahmanna, Driver Ramudu, Bakta Kannappa and Jaganmohini. Sarathi died from kidney ailments at a hospital in Hyderabad on 1 August 2022, at the age of 80.

Thotakura Somaraju and Saluri Koteswara Rao, popularly known as Raj–Koti, were a duo of Indian film music composers, singer-songwriters, record producers, musicians and multi-instrumentalist in Telugu cinema.
