Glenlola Collegiate School is an all-girls' grammar school in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. The school was founded as a school for girls in approximately 1880. [2]

In 2018 the Education and Training Electorate evaluated the school as "Good" in all categories. [3]

The current principal, Mr W. E. Thompson, took up post in February 2010, taking over from Richard Finlay.

They started the 2021–22 season in the Cymru North the second level of the Welsh football league system, but on 30 November were suspended from any football activity due to non-payment of wages. On 18 February 2022 the club announced they had withdrawn from the league and the Football Association of Wales confirmed the club's results from the league that season has been expunged. The club subsequently failed to apply for tier 2 or tier 3 licences, leaving them unable to play in any Football Association of Wales league for the 2022–23 season.

Faulkner was the wife of the sixth and last Prime Minister of Northern Ireland Brian Faulkner, who was in office from 1971 to 1972. She was also the first woman to hold a seat as a National Governor of the BBC from Northern Ireland from 1978 to 1985. Annilese Miskimmon is a Northern Irish opera director who has been the artistic director of English National Opera since 2020. She previously held equivalent posts at Ireland's Opera Theatre Company (2004–12), Danish National Opera (2012–17) and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet (2017–20). She is also a freelance director who has often worked with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opera Holland Park and other companies. Her productions include classics of the repertoire, such as Puccini's Madama Butterfly (2018), as well as rarely performed operas. They are often reset in the twentieth century, with several stagings employing Miskimmon's native Ireland as the setting, including Janáček's Jenufa (2015), Bellini's I Puritani (2015) and Puccini's Suor Angelica (2024).
