The Global Network for Advanced Management is a collaboration of graduate schools of business that seeks to foster intellectual ties among business schools, students and deans [1] from both economically strong regions and those on the horizon of economic development. It was founded by a consortium of 21 schools and launched on April 27, 2012. [2] [ failed verification ] The Global Network has since expanded to include 32 member schools. [3]
The Global Network for Advanced Management was founded on the premise that enterprises need leaders who understand how markets and organizations work in increasingly diverse and complex contexts. [4] The network provides an organizational structure to facilitate connections among faculty, students, and alumni from diverse regions, cultures, and economies in different phases of development. Chief goals are the exchange of ideas, collaboration on data collection, and the promotion of research in areas of interest to global commerce. Member schools share course materials, including case studies that incorporate specialized regional expertise.
The Global Network is a platform for innovation, hosting programs that include Global Network Weeks, which give students at network schools the opportunity to travel to another Network school for a one-week intensive mini-course that takes advantage of localized expertise; [5] Global Network Courses, online graduate-level business courses that connect students at member schools in group project work; [6] and Global Network cases, teaching materials that examine business challenges from the points of view of at least two Global Network regions. [7]
In January 2014, as part of the “Business + Society: Leadership in an Increasingly Complex World,” conference, which marked the opening of Edward P. Evans Hall, the new home for the Yale School of Management, deans and directors from nine Global Network schools discussed the skills they believed critical to leaders with moderator Margaret Warner in a panel entitled "Preparing Leaders for a Flatter World." [8] Faculty, deans, and students from three network schools participated in "Bank of Ireland: A Raw Case Study" with American investor Wilbur Ross. [9]
As of 2023, more than 14,500 students have participated in a Global Network Week and more than 6,500 have taken one of the Small Network Online Courses (SNOCs). More than 5,000 students from 20 of the member schools have participated in the Global Virtual Teams course.

The Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the business school of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a private university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. MIT Sloan offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs, as well as executive education. Its degree programs are among the most selective in the world. MIT Sloan emphasizes innovation in practice and research. Many influential ideas in management and finance originated at the school, including the Black–Scholes model, the Solow–Swan model, the random walk hypothesis, the binomial options pricing model, and the field of system dynamics. The faculty has included numerous Nobel laureates in economics and John Bates Clark Medal winners.
INSEAD, a contraction of "Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires", is a non-profit graduate business school that maintains campuses in France, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Its degree programs are postgraduate-only, taught in English and include a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA), an Executive MBA (EMBA), Master in Management (MIM), Doctor of Business Administration, Executive Master of Finance and executive education programs.

One of the best business schools in the world, it offers Bachelor, MiM, MSc in International Finance, MBA, EMBA, executive education, professional development, professional certification, and PhD programs.
The Joseph L. Rotman School of Management is the University of Toronto's graduate business school, located in Downtown Toronto. The University of Toronto has been offering undergraduate courses in commerce and management since 1901, but the business school was formally established in 1950 as the Institute of Business Administration. The name was changed to the Faculty of Management Studies in 1972 and subsequently shortened to the Faculty of Management in 1986. The school was renamed in 1997 after Joseph L. Rotman (1935–2015), its principal benefactor.
Bocconi University or Università Bocconi is a private university in Milan, Italy. Ivey Business School is the main business school of the University of Western Ontario, located in London, Ontario, Canada. It offers full-time undergraduate and graduate programs and maintains two teaching facilities in Toronto and Hong Kong for its EMBA and Executive Education programs.
The Darden School of Business is the graduate business school of the University of Virginia, a public research university in Charlottesville, Virginia. The school offers MBA, PhD, and Executive Education programs. Darden is consistently ranked as being among the top business schools in the U.S. and in the world.

The Schulich School of Business is the business school of York University located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The institution provides undergraduate and graduate degree and diploma programs in business administration, finance, accounting, business analytics, public administration and international business as well as a number of PhD and executive programs. Originally known as the Faculty of Administrative Studies (FAS), it was renamed in 1995 after Seymour Schulich, a major benefactor who has donated $15 million to the school. The Dean of the School, Detlev Zwick, was appointed in 2021 after having served as Interim Dean for 15 months.
The Yale School of Management is the graduate business school of Yale University, a private research university in New Haven, Connecticut. Robert F. Bruner is University Professor at the University of Virginia, Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, and Dean Emeritus of the Darden School of Business. He was the eighth dean of Darden and has been a faculty member there since 1982. He teaches and conducts research in finance and management at the University of Virginia and has won numerous teaching awards.
The UBC Sauder School of Business is the business school of the University of British Columbia. The faculty is located in Vancouver on UBC's Point Grey campus and has a secondary teaching facility at UBC Robson Square downtown. UBC Sauder has been accredited by AACSB since 2003. The current Dean is Darren Dahl.
INCAE Business School is an international business school located at the Walter Kissling Gam campus in Costa Rica. The school was founded with the assistance of professors from Harvard Business School in 1964. Although INCAE is independent, it adheres to the Harvard's case study method.
The Hitotsubashi University Business School, also known as Hitotsubashi ICS, is the graduate business school of Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. Hitotsubashi ICS was the first "professional graduate school" established in Japan. The school was founded by Harvard Business School professor Hirotaka Takeuchi, its first dean, in 1998, and admitted students in 2000.
Edward Adams "Ted" Snyder is currently the William S. Beinecke Professor of Economics and Management at Yale School of Management. He has held two other business school deanships and was Senior Associate Dean at University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Yale Publishing Course (YPC), located on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, is an intensive program for magazine, book and online publishing professionals. The course focuses on teaching leadership skills for today's increasingly global, increasingly digital environment. YPC's curriculum is geared to middle and upper-level professionals from all over the world. Its speakers include publishing and media executives as well as faculty from the Yale School of Management and Yale University Press staff. The Yale Course is the only advanced-level program for senior managers in the publishing industry.
