Merriweather Post Pavilion is the eighth studio album by American experimental pop group Animal Collective, released in January 2009 on Domino Records. It was recorded by a truncated lineup featuring three of the group's four members—Panda Bear, Avey Tare and Geologist —with co-production by Ben H. Allen. The album features an electronic sound, including heavy reverb and the use of sampler and synthesizer as primary instruments. Its title references the Maryland venue of the same name.

He is the most infrequent member of the collective appearing on only six of the group's eleven studio albums. In 2016, he made his solo debut with the album Sleep Cycle. He also occasionally works as a carpenter during musical down time.
Animals as Leaders is an American instrumental progressive metal band from Washington, D.C., United States. It currently consists of guitarists Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes and drummer Matt Garstka, having been formed by Abasi in 2007. They are a prominent band within the djent scene. Prosthetic Records released the band's eponymous debut album in 2009. They went on to release the albums Weightless (2011), The Joy of Motion (2014), and The Madness of Many (2016).
Animal Collective is an American experimental pop band formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 2003. Its members consist of Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Deakin, and Geologist. The band's work is characterized by an eclectic exploration of styles, including psychedelia, freak folk, noise, and electronica, with the use of elements such as loops, drones, vocal harmonies, and sound collage. AllMusic credited the group with "defining the face of independent experimental rock during the 2000s and 2010s."
Centipede Hz is the ninth studio album by American experimental pop group Animal Collective, released on September 4, 2012 on Domino Records. The album marks the return of band member Deakin, who sat out of the recording and touring of the band's previous album, Merriweather Post Pavilion (2009). On the US Billboard 200, it peaked at No. 16.
"Honeycomb" and "Gotham" are two tracks released on a double A-side single in advance of Animal Collective's ninth studio album, Centipede Hz. It was announced via the band's official website and was made available for free streaming on May 6, 2012. The physical single was put up for presale on Domino's online store, with an MP3 download being available simultaneously. Neither of the songs were released on Centipede Hz. The single has also been referred to as Centipede Hz's EP, or accompanying songs, as they were outtakes from the Centipede Hz recording sessions; this is supported by the fact that the 3 EPs predating Honeycomb/Gotham consisted mainly of outtake material that didn't make it on their accompanying LPs.
Live at 9:30 is the third live album by Baltimore-based band Animal Collective. It was released in 2015 on Domino. The album is a recording of the band's performance at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. on June 12, 2013. All the songs performed appear on the band's previously released LPs and EPs. The show's opening act was fellow Baltimore musician Dan Deacon, who does not appear on the recording.
Painting With is the tenth studio album by American experimental pop band Animal Collective, released on February 19, 2016. The album is a follow-up to Centipede Hz (2012), and features contributions from John Cale and Colin Stetson. It peaked at No. 46 on the Billboard 200. Three singles were issued: "FloriDada" (2015), "Lying in the Grass", and "Golden Gal". A companion EP, The Painters, was released the following year.
"FloriDada" is a song by Animal Collective, released as the first single from their 2016 album Painting With. It was released on November 30, 2015 by Domino Records. Avey Tare explained that the song was "sort of inspired by hating on people from Florida. I was driving in L.A. and flipping through the radio dial and came across a morning radio show where they're just talking all the time. They had a segment called, like, 'Dumb Things People Are Doing In Florida.' It kind of bothered me. ... Everybody—they kind of agree that Florida's such a weird place, know what I mean? But in a way, that's part of the charm of it."
Time Skiffs is the eleventh studio album by American experimental pop band Animal Collective, released on February 4, 2022, on Domino. It is their first album in six years and marks the return of band member Deakin, who sat out of the recording and touring of the band's previous album, Painting With (2016). The album was preceded by four singles: "Prester John", "Walker", "Strung with Everything", and "We Go Back".
