God Cries is the fourth album by Asphyx. It was released in 1996 by Century Media Records. Shortly after the release of the album, Theo Loomans was killed in a car accident, which was probably suicide. [2]

Thanatos is a Dutch extreme metal band. With a history dating back to 1984, they are the oldest death metal band from the Netherlands. Their second album, Realm of Ecstasy, received positive marks from Dutch music magazine Oor and various international magazines for its solid compositions and challenging arrangements. After enduring constantly changing line-ups and problems with distribution, promotion, and even ownership of the rights to the second album, Thanatos folded in 1992, the final straw being the cancellation of a tour with Cannibal Corpse and Exhorder.

Martin van Drunen Dutch metal singer

Martin van Drunen is a Dutch death metal vocalist, who started out in the band Pestilence. In this band, he also performed the bass duties live. He recorded two albums with them, Malleus Maleficarum and Consuming Impulse. After his departure from Pestilence, he joined Asphyx as the singer and bass player in 1990 and recorded five albums in total. He performed the vocals on Comecon's second album Converging Conspiracies in 1993 and then formed his own band called Submission. In 1995, he was asked to replace Karl Willetts in the UK death metal band Bolt Thrower. He did two tours with them, but never recorded an album.

Horse Bites Dog Cries is the second studio album by the American punk rock band D.I.. It was originally released in 1986, on the label Reject. The album was recorded at Casbah Studios in Fullerton, California in 1985 with Chaz Ramirez. Due to a typo on the album itself, many fans believe that it was released in 1985, but this appears to be false because its release was delayed until 1986 to avoid confusion with the band's then-current album Ancient Artifacts. The band's lyrical content deals with the Second World War, and is based upon the research of vocalist Martin van Drunen, who has been described as the band's "resident historian". The band has released three albums via Metal Blade Records.

Hooded Menace Finnish band

Hooded Menace are a death-doom band formed in Joensuu, Finland in 2007 by guitarist Lasse Pyykkö, who had previously performed in a Finnish death metal band named Phlegethon. The band kickstarted their career by recording a 2-track demo titled The Eyeless Horde in 2007, which was released on 7" vinyl the following year. The band released their debut album, Fulfill the Curse, in 2008; followed by the highly acclaimed sophomore full-length album, Never Cross the Dead, in 2010.
