Rear Admiral Golam Sadeq is a two-star admiral in the Bangladesh Navy and incumbent commander of Khulna Naval Area (COMKHUL). [1] Before that, he was chairman of the Payra Port Authority. Prior to that, he was senior directing staff - SDS (Navy) at the National Defence College. [2] Prior to that, he was chairman of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).

Military career

Sadeq attended Rangpur Cadet College. He was commissioned into the Bangladesh Navy in 1989. [3] He received naval training from the Royal Malaysian Navy. Later, in his career he served as flag-lieutenant of Navy Chief as staff officer, deputy-director at the planning department of Bangladesh Navy Headquarters, chief staff officer of Commander Chattogram Naval Zone and Commander BN Fleet Staff Officer Operation. [4] In January 2020, he became chairman of BIWTA. [5] Prior to join there, he was commandant of Bangladesh Naval Academy. [6] In April 2023, he appointed as chairman of Payra Port Authority. [7]

Personal life

In personal life, Rear Admiral Sadeq is married and father of one son and a daughter. [3]

S M Moniruzzaman OSP, ndc, ncc, psc is a two star admiral of the Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority. Previously, he was the commander of Bangladesh Naval Fleet (COMBAN). Prior joining here, he had been serving as the managing director of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.
