Mahbubnagar, formerly known as Rukmammapeta and Palamooru is a city in Mahbubnagar District of the Indian state of Telangana named after the 6th Nizam, Mahboob Ali Khan. It is the headquarters of Mahbubnagar mandal in Mahbubnagar revenue division. The city is also the largest in the district with an area of 39.64 km2 (15.31 sq mi) and 7th most populous in the state.

The film written and directed by Gunasekhar features Anushka Shetty in a title role as Rudramadevi, alongside an ensemble cast including Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Nithya Menen, Adithya, and Catherine Tresa. The film is narrated by Chiranjeevi. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
Pratāparudra, also known as Rudradeva II, was the last monarch of the Kakatiya dynasty of India. He ruled the eastern part of Deccan, with his capital at Warangal.
Gadwal Samsthanam was a vassal of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Once part of Raichur district, it is now Gadwal in Jogulamba Gadwal district. It was one of the three important samsthanams, the other two being Wanaparthy Samsthanam and Jatprole Samsthanam.
Sri Ranganatha Ramayanamu is a rendition of Valmiki's Rāmāyaṇa in Telugu language. It was written by the poet Ranganatha—also known as Gona Budda Reddy—between 1300 and 1310 CE. It was composed in 17,290 couplets. This metre is lyrical and can either be recited like the Valmiki Ramayana or sung like the Ramcharitmanas.

Nagarkurnool district is a district in the southern region of the Indian state of Telangana. The town of Nagarkurnool is the district headquarters. It was part of the Mahbubnagar district prior to re-organisation of districts in the state. The district shares boundaries with Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy districts and with the state boundary of Andhra Pradesh with Nandyal, Palnadu and Prakasam Districts.
Kuppambika was a Telugu poet. She was the daughter of the king and poet Gona Budda Reddy, who wrote Ranganatha Ramayanam in Telugu. She was the younger sister of Gona Ganna Reddy and wife of Malyala Gunda Dandadeeshudu.
Rudramadevi – Saatileni Maharaju is a Telugu-language historical drama television series that airs on Star Maa. The series is based on the life of Rani Rudrama Devi. The show is produced by Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez under the banner Peninsula Pictures. The show started airing from 18 January 2021 on Star Maa and also available digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. The series is written by Sakthi Sagar Chopra and Lakshmi Jaya Kumar. It is one of the expensive Telugu television series. Ananya Dwivedi portrayed the Young Rudrama Devi, with Anand playing the character Ganapati Devudu.
