Alcatrazz is a heavy metal band formed in 1983 by Graham Bonnet, Jimmy Waldo, and Gary Shea. Following an internal disagreement and split in 2020, there are currently two separate and distinct Alcatrazz line-ups, one featuring Bonnet, and another featuring Waldo and Shea. Alcatrazz are best known for their songs "Island in the Sun", "Hiroshima Mon Amour", and "God Blessed Video". The band went through a number of line-up changes, with Bonnet being the only member to be in every incarnation of Alcatrazz. They are also notable for featuring a previously-unknown Yngwie Malmsteen, who was the guitarist of Alcatrazz during 1983–1984, and was subsequently replaced by Steve Vai, and Danny Johnson in the original incarnation of the band up until 1987. Joe Stump became the Alcatrazz guitarist when the band reformed, and remains the guitarist in the Waldo-Shea line-up of Alcatrazz. In June 2021, Jeff Loomis was announced as the guitarist in the Bonnet line-up of Alcatrazz.
Jeff Loomis is an American musician, best known for his role as lead guitarist in the progressive metal band Nevermore during its existence from 1991 to 2011, as well as brief tenures in its precursor, Sanctuary. In 2014, he joined Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, and in 2021 he joined Graham Bonnet's Alcatrazz as well. As a solo artist he has released two albums and one EP.

IV: Constitution of Treason is the fourth full-length studio album by the New Jersey heavy metal quintet God Forbid. It is a concept album telling the story of a futuristic society that destroys itself, reforms many years later, and eventually destroys itself again in the same way as originally. The band's guitarist has said that the album's basic theme is the fact that humanity in general does not seem to learn from its mistakes. Three music videos were released from this album for the tracks "The End of the World", "Chains of Humanity" and "To the Fallen Hero". There is a special edition DualDisc version of this album, with a DVD documentary about the making of IV: Constitution of Treason entitled "The Act of Treason". This is the first album to chart, peaking at number 118 on the Billboard 200 selling 8,300 copies.
Determination is the second full-length studio album by the New Jersey heavy metal quintet God Forbid. It was released on April 17, 2001, through Century Media Records. The album was reissued on Vinyl in 2021 to celebrate the album’s twentieth anniversary.
Reject the Sickness is the first full-length studio album by the New Jersey heavy metal quintet God Forbid. It was recorded at Trax East Studios in South River, New Jersey, and produced, mixed and engineered by Steve Evetts. Cover art was painted by Matt Kimball. It was re-released in 2001 on We Put Out Records. God Forbid owns the master tapes and thus was able to release it themselves outside of their deal with Century Media Records.

The first chapter of the book is titled "The Seven Tongues of God", which is the title of the first song on the album. There is a spoken word sample in the track "Next in Line" from the Adrian Lyne movie Jacob's Ladder.

It was singer Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard's first release after disbanding their previous band, Sanctuary, in 1992. The album was produced by Eric Rachel with Christian Olde Wolbers handling all vocal tracking. The mixing was by Jens Bogren, and the artwork was by Gustavo Sazes. This is the last God Forbid album with rhythm guitarist Dallas Coyle. The song "Empire of the Gun" is a downloadable track for the video game Rock Band.
Manifesto of Nevermore is a greatest hits compilation by the heavy metal band Nevermore. It contains tracks from the first six Nevermore albums as well as their In Memory EP in reverse chronological order except one song taken from their double DVD/CD live album The Year of the Voyager released in 2008 as the last track on the compilation. It was released in Europe and the UK on March 2, 2009.
Plains of Oblivion is the second studio album by former Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis, released on April 6, 2012 through Century Media Records; a limited Digipak edition was also released, containing two bonus tracks. The album reached the top 200 on five different U.S. Billboard charts. It features a number of guest musicians including Emperor singer Ihsahn, as well as guitarists Marty Friedman, Tony MacAlpine and Chris Poland.

In January 2021, original lead vocalist Tommy Vext left the band and was replaced by Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz. Tensions ensued between Vext and the band, resulting in legal proceedings including Better Noise Music.

Deceivers is Arch Enemy's first studio album since 2017's Will to Power, marking the longest gap between two of their studio albums.
