Daegu, formerly spelled Taegu and officially Daegu Metropolitan City, is a city in southeastern South Korea.
Gyeongsan (Korean pronunciation:[kjʌŋ.san] is satellite city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Its western border abuts the metropolitan city of Daegu, and much of Gyeongsan lies within the Daegu metropolitan area.
The Geumho River flows through North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, and drains into the Nakdong River. It rises in the hilly area of western Pohang, flows west for 116 kilometers before its meeting with the Nakdong in western Daegu. It drains an area of more than 2,000 square kilometers. Notable tributaries include the Sincheon, which flows north through Daegu. The name Geumho-gang means "river of the zither-shaped lake," a reference to its oxbow curve in northern Daegu. Much of the riverbank in Daegu has been transformed into parkland.
Yulha-dong is a dong in Dong District, Daegu, South Korea. Its name literally means "beneath the chestnut tree." It lies just north of the Geumho River. Yulha-dong is the legal dong; its boundaries coincide with the administrative entity Ansim 1-dong.
Dong District is a gu (district) in northeastern part of Daegu metropolitan city of South Korea. Daegu city itself lies in the southeastern part of Korean Peninsula. It has a population of 343,678. The district covers 182.35 km², for about 20% of Daegu's total area.

It borders most of the other districts of Daegu, including Nam-gu to the south, Seo-gu to the west, Buk-gu to the north, and Dong-gu and Suseong-gu to the east. The northern border is formed by the Gyeongbu Line railroad, and the eastern border by the Sincheon stream.

Daegok Station is an underground of the first line of Daegu city railroad in Daegok-dong in Dalseo-gu, Daegu, South Korea. It is located on the boundary between Dalseo-gu Daegok-dong and Dalseong-gun Hwawon-eup Gura-ri. There are an exit and entrance for a Hwawon-eup Bolli-ri Bolli-jigu Bolli Greenvill. A southern extension into Dalseong-gun (county) was opened on September 8, 2016.
National University of Education Station is an underground station of Daegu Subway Line 1 in Daemyeong-dong, Nam District, Daegu, South Korea. It is named for Daegu National University of Education. It is the first station of a city railroad of Daegu connected with this college.
