Good Counsel/Liffey Gaels is a GAA club based in the Drimnagh-Ballyfermot area of Dublin. The club was formed following a merger between Good Counsel of Drimnagh and Liffey Gaels of Ballyfermot.
In March 2016, Liffey Gaels announced that they would be merging with Good Counsel for their upcoming Junior B Hurling Campaign. [1] Over the next few years, other teams from both clubs beginning to merge. Liffey Gaels played their last game on the 17th of November 2018 vs St Vincents in the Minor Football League Division 4. [2] Good Counsel played their last game as Good Counsel in a 4–14 to 0-12 Quarter-final defeat against Lucan Sarsfields in the 2019 Dubin U21 Hurling 'C' Championship on the 19th of November 2019. Ballyfermot is a suburb of the city of Dublin, Ireland. Located seven kilometres west of the city centre, south of the Phoenix Park, it is bordered on the north by Chapelizod, on the south by Bluebell, on the east by Inchicore, on the north-west by Palmerstown and the south-west by Clondalkin and Parkwest. The River Liffey lies to the north, and the Grand Canal, now a recreational waterway, lies to the south. Ballyfermot lies within postal district Dublin 10. Cherry Orchard is also a suburb, sometimes considered to sit within Ballyfermot.
Lucan is a town in Ireland, located 12 km west of Dublin city centre on the River Liffey. It is near the Strawberry Beds and Lucan Weir, and at the confluence of the River Griffeen. It is mostly under the jurisdiction of South Dublin County Council with the exception of the North Lucan areas of Laraghcon, Coldblow and Saint Catherine's Park which are in the jurisdiction of Fingal County Council. Road access to Lucan is from the N4, and the M50 motorway at Junction 7.
Inchicore is a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. Located approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) west of the city centre, Inchicore was originally a small village separate from Dublin. The village developed around Richmond Barracks and Inchicore railway works, before being incorporated into the expanding city bounds. Inchicore is a largely residential area and is home to the association football club St Patrick's Athletic FC.
CLG Na Fianna is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Glasnevin, in the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. It caters for the sporting and social needs of many connected residential areas adjacent to its location through the promotion of Gaelic games — Gaelic football, hurling, camogie, handball and rounders—and the traditional Irish pursuits of music and dance. Céilí music and dancing is a regular feature in the club hall, while informal music sessions are a regular feature of the members’ bar.
Fullen Gaels Hurling and Camogie Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Manchester, England. Although affiliated to Lancashire GAA it mainly competes in Warwickshire GAA competitions.
Lucan Sarsfields is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lucan, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1886, making it one of the oldest GAA clubs in Dublin. Sarsfields were one of 16 teams which contested the Dublin Senior Championship in 1887. They were also involved in the Senior Championship of 1892, and the club has fielded Gaelic football, hurling and camogie teams ever since.
Sarsfields GAA is a hurling club is based in the Riverstown and Glanmire area of County Cork. They have won six County Championships, 1951, 1957, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014. They have also won three Minor County Championships, 2007, 2008 and 2014. The club derives its name for the Irish Jacobite and soldier Patrick Sarsfield, 1st Earl of Lucan.

Réalt Dearg is one of Dublins six hurling only clubs. The club is also the county's youngest, established in November 2009. The teams catchment area is the South Dublin City suburbs of Rathmines, Ranelagh, Rathgar, Terenure, Donnybrook and Clonskeagh. They currently train in Drimnagh Castle and Stepaside and play their games in Drimnagh Castle. Players can often be found in Vaughans and Bushy Park too.
Na Gaeil Óga, CLG are a Dublin GAA, Irish-speaking Gaelic football, hurling and camogie club based in St. Catherines Park, Lucan and Phoenix Park, Co. Dublin founded in 2011. An underage structure was founded in 2014 catering for girls and boys in hurling, camogie and football.
The 2012 Dublin Senior Football Championship was the inter club Gaelic football competition between the top teams in Dublin GAA. St Brigid's were the defending champions and Skerries Harps were the latest addition to the senior championship having won the Intermediate championship in 2011.
