La Coka Nostra is an American hip hop supergroup currently composed that of Danny Boy, Slaine, DJ Lethal, and Ill Bill. In 2004, its creation started when Danny Boy brought two young artists, Slaine and Big Left, to meet Dj Lethal his DJ from his former group House of Pain. They decided to make a group, whose name came about, when O'Connor teased other members with that nickname, after they had a night out. They started releasing music on MySpace, and went viral.

Suburban Noize Records, also known as "Subnoize", is an independent record label based in Burbank, California that specializes in punk rock and hip hop music. The label was founded in 1997 by the Kottonmouth Kings' vocalist Daddy X and later ran by Kevin Zinger.

Recording sessions took place at the "Cannibus Cabin" in Tehachapi, California and at the Subnoize Compound and Electric Ghetto in Los Angeles, with additional vocals recorded at Spidey Hole Studios in Bend, Oregon. Production was handled by Mike Kumagai, Jim Perkins, and member Daddy X, who also served as executive producer together with Kevin Zinger. It features guest appearances from Big B, BJ Smith, Dogboy, Insane Clown Posse, Tech N9NE, Vicky Calhoun, Jason Nava and Sonny Tipton.

Production was handled by member Daddy X, who also served as executive producer together with Kevin Zinger, and Mike Kumagai, with additional production by Brad Jones, Jim Perkins, Patrick Shevelin and Steve Dang. It features guest appearances from Jared Gomes, BJ Smith and Crystal Frandsen. The album peaked at number 46 on the Billboard 200, number 7 on the Independent Albums, and number 8 on the Top Rap Albums chart in the United States.
