Gopi Krishna is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films. He made a breakthrough after his work in Mohan Raja's Thani Oruvan (2015) was well recognised. [1] [2] [3]

Career

Gopi Krishna formally learnt the art of editing by undertaking a qualification at MGR Government Film and Television Institute, Chennai. Gopi Krishna's first successful project was Balaji Sakthivel's mystery film Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (2012), following which he received more opportunities to edit Tamil films. He had a career breakthrough after his work in Mohan Raja's Thani Oruvan (2015) was well recognised, and this subsequently led to him receiving bigger film offers from producers. He then also went on to work in the successful horror comedy film Dhilluku Dhuddu (2016). [4] [5]

In 2017, Gopi Krishna has agreed to edit several mid-budget Tamil films including the horror film Dora , the comedy Mannar Vagaiyara and the period drama 1945 .

The music was composed by Simon K. King, while cinematography was handled by the director's younger brother, K. V. Guhan and editing by Gopi Krishna. The film released on 29 November 2019. <i>Thani Oruvan</i> (soundtrack) 2015 soundtrack album by Hiphop Tamizha

Thani Oruvan is the soundtrack album for the 2015 Tamil film of the same name directed by Mohan Raja and starring Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy. The album has five songs in total, all of them being composed by Hiphop Tamizha, and also wrote four out of five tracks, with Mohan Raja penning one of the tracks from the album. It is Hiphop Tamizha's third feature film as a composer, after Aambala and Indru Netru Naalai. The soundtrack album was unveiled by Sony Music India on 25 July 2015, and received positive response from critics and audiences. Thani Oruvan was listed as the most streamed Tamil album and the second best Tamil album of iTunes of the year 2015, followed by O Kadhal Kanmani.

Thani Oruvan 2 is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Mohan Raja, produced by AGS Entertainment. A sequel to Thani Oruvan (2015), Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara reprises their roles from the first film.
