The 1904 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the III Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event which was celebrated in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, from August 29 until September 3, 1904, as part of an extended sports program lasting from July 1 to November 23, 1904, located at what is now known as Francis Field on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. It was the first time that the Olympic Games were held outside Europe.

There were no medalists from Guyana at the Beijing Olympics. Roberts was Guyana's flagbearer at the ceremonies in Beijing.
Adrian Dodson also known as Adrian Carew is a British former Olympic boxer. He competed for Guyana at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul under the name Adrian Carew before representing Great Britain at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Ryōta Murata is a Japanese professional boxer. He has held the WBA (Super) middleweight title since January 2021 and previously held the WBA (Regular) title twice between 2017 and January 2021. As an amateur, he won a silver medal at the 2011 World Championships, and gold the following year at the 2012 Olympics. As of January 2021, he is ranked as the world's fifth best active middleweight by The Ring and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and sixth by BoxRec.

Carl Crawford is a retired Guyanese light-heavyweight boxer, who represented his country at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He was in fact the first boxer to compete for his Guyana in the Olympics. There he was eliminated in the first round of the men's light-heavyweight division by Zbigniew Pietrzykowski of Poland, he then became sparring partner for Muhammad Ali.
Fitzroy Brown is a Guyanese boxer. He competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. At the 1980 Summer Olympics, he defeated Abílio Cabral of Angola, before losing to Luis Pizarro of Puerto Rico. Brown also represented Guyana at the 1983 Pan American Games.
The men's lightweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 60 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 29 July to 11 August 1984. 40 boxers from 40 nations competed.
The men's light welterweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1992 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 63.5 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 30 July to 9 August 1992. 30 boxers from 30 nations competed.
John Douglas is an Guyanese boxer. He competed in the men's light heavyweight event at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
