Government Mahila Engineering College, Ajmer is an engineering college for women in Ajmer city in Rajasthan state in India. [1] It was established in 2007 and is said to be the first women engineering college in north India. The college is now affiliated with Bikaner Technical University and is approved by AICTE.

Ajmer State

Ajmer State was a separate state within India from 1950 to 1956 with Ajmer as its capital. Ajmer State was formed in 1950 out of the territory of former province of Ajmer-Merwara, which became a province of the Indian Union on 15 August 1947. Bikaner Technical University (BTU) is a technical state university located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. BTU is based in the campus of the College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner in Karni Industrial Area, Bikaner, approximately 400 kilometres (250 mi) from New Delhi. It was established in 2017 with jurisdiction over technical institutes in Bikaner division, Jodhpur division, Nagaur district in Ajmer division and districts Alwar, Sikar and Jhunjhunu in Jaipur division, affiliating 69 engineering and management colleges which were formerly affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University.

Vanaja Iyengar was an Indian mathematician, educationist and the founder vice-chancellor of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. She was one of the founders of the Andhra Mahila Sabha School of Informatics. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1987.

BJP Mahila Morcha Indian political party

BJP Mahila Morcha, or simply Mahila Morcha, is the women's wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India. Vanathi Srinivasan, former Tamiladu BJP Unit Vice president is the national president of the wing. On 3 July 2015, Daggubati Purandeswari was appointed in-charge of BJP Mahila Morcha.
