The events of the equestrian at the 2004 Summer Olympics featured three equestrian disciplines: dressage, eventing and jumping. All three disciplines are further divided into individual and team contests for a total of six events.
Tonya Lynn Verbeek is a Canadian freestyle wrestler. Verbeek was the first woman to win a wrestling medal for Canada when she took silver in 2004, she added to that with a bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a second silver at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She has also won two bronze and a silver at the world championships and has a bronze and silver from the Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games respectively.
Frederick Grace was a lightweight boxer. He fought as Fred Grace and at the 1908 Olympic Games he became Olympic champion, defeating Matt Wells along the way. He also became the British and European amateur champion.

James Lester Madden was an American figure skater who competed in men's singles and pair skating. His pairs partner was his sister, Grace. He and Grace Madden were the 1934 U.S. national pairs champions.
Grace Upshaw Tyler is an American track and field athlete who competes in the long jump. She represented the United States in her specialty at the Summer Olympics in both 2004 and 2008. She has also reached the long jump final at the World Championships in Athletics on two occasions. She was the bronze medallist in the long jump at the IAAF World Athletics Final in those years.
Carol Huynh is a retired Canadian freestyle wrestler. Huynh was the first gold medalist for Canada in women's wrestling and was the first gold medallist for Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is also the 2010 Commonwealth Games and two time Pan American Games champion. She has also achieved success at the world championships where Huynh has totaled one silver and three bronze medals. Huynh is also an eleven time national champion. Following the 2012 Olympics, Huynh retired from competition and started coaching the University of Calgary Dinos wrestling team. Huynh was elected to the United World Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2013. In early 2015 she was selected as a United World Wrestling Super 8 Ambassador for the global campaign focusing on the development of women in wrestling and has also served as the Chair of the United World Wrestling Athletes Commission from 2013 to 2017. As of 2020 she is the current coach of Wrestling Canada's Next Gen team based in Calgary.
Grace E. Madden was an American pair skater. With brother J. Lester Madden, she was the 1934 U.S. national champion. They competed at the 1936 Winter Olympics and placed 11th.
Tetyana Viktorivna Lazareva is a Ukrainian female wrestler. She represented Ukraine at the 2012 Summer Olympics in women's freestyle 55 kg. She finished 5th after losing to Tonya Verbeek in the quarter-finals and to Jackeline Renteria in the repechage. She competed in the same weight category at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Carolijn Mariëlle Brouwer is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented this country for the first time at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Brouwer as helmsman of the Dutch boat with Alexandra Verbeek as crew took the 13th place in the Women's 470. In the 2004 Olympics, Brouwer returned to the Olympics in Europe and took 19th place. Brouwer than switched to the Tornado and qualified for the 2008 Olympics. However this time she sailed for Belgium. As helmsman, with crew Sébastien Godefroid she took 12th place.
Volha Viktarauna Khilko is an amateur Belarusian wrestler, who competed in the women's middleweight category. She is the 2005 World bronze medalist and European silver medalist.
Olga Vladimirovna Smirnova is an amateur Russian-born Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. She is a two-time Olympian, a three-time medalist at the European Senior Championships, and a gold medalist for the 50 kg class at the 1996 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Smirnova also added a silver medal from the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, and bronze from the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, representing her adopted nation Kazakhstan.
Naidangiin Otgonjargal is an amateur Mongolian freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. Between 2001 and 2004, Otgonjargal had won a total of three medals for the 51 and 55 kg classes at the Asian Wrestling Championships. She also captured two bronze medals in the same division at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, and at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
Ludmila Cristea is an amateur Moldovan freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. Since 2006, Cristea had won a total of four medals for the 55 kg class at the European Wrestling Championships.
Grace Kubi Daniel is a Nigerian badminton player. She defeated South Africa's Michelle Claire Edwards for the gold medal in the women's singles, and also, teamed up with Susan Ideh for a silver in the doubles at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria.
Alexandra Louise Verbeek is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented her country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Savannah. Verbeek took the 13th place as crew in the Women's 470 together with helmsman Carolijn Brouwer.

Colleen Grace Miller is a Canadian former rower. She competed in the women's lightweight double sculls event at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
