Graham Macky

Graham Hamilton Macky (born 16 February 1954) is a long-distance runner from New Zealand, clocking his personal best of 2:14:36 in Beijing, 1986. He won his first national title in the men's marathon in 1983, clocking 2:21:22 in Mosgiel, and won the Rotorua Marathon in 1991.

Macky continues to run, and since moving to Auckland in 2000 with his wife, Deborah Macky, and daughters Bridie Macky and Tessa Macky, has run for the Auckland University Track Club. Prior to this Macky ran for the Scottish Harriers (1975–1988), and for Christchurch Avon (1988–1999).

Lisa Frances Ondieki is an Australian former long-distance runner. In the marathon, she won the 1988 Olympic silver medal and two Commonwealth Games gold medals. Eliud Kipchoge ( EL-ee-OOD kip-CHOH-gə; is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in the marathon and formerly competed at the 5000 metre distance. He is the 2016 and 2020 Olympic marathon winner. In addition, he set the world record in the marathon with a time of 2:01:39 at the 2018 Berlin Marathon. His run broke the previous world record by 1 minute and 18 seconds. He has been described as "the greatest marathoner of the modern era".

Ron Hill British long distance runner

Ronald Hill MBE was a British runner and clothing entrepreneur. He was the second man to break 2:10 in the marathon; he set world records at four other distances, but never laid claim to the marathon world record. He ran two Olympic Marathons, and achieved a personal marathon record of 2:09:28. In 1970, Hill won the 74th Boston Marathon in a course record 2:10:30. He also won gold medals for the marathon at the European Championships in 1969 and the Commonwealth Games in 1970. Hill laid claim to the longest streak of consecutive days running – every day for 52 years and 39 days from 1964 to 2017.
