Grant Goldschmidt (born 16 April 1983) is a South African male beach volleyball player. He competed for South Africa at the 2012 Summer Olympics with teammate Freedom Chiya. [1] They did not progress beyond the group stages. [2]

Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. The nation's flagbearer in the opening ceremonies was Hesham Mesbah, a judoka who was Egypt's only medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Two Egyptian weightlifters were awarded medals retroactively, after higher-ranked competitors were disqualified for doping: Abeer Abdelrahman took silver in the women's 75 kg event, while Tarek Yehia, received bronze in the men's 85 kg event. Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.
Sierra Leone competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This marked the nation's tenth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1968 Summer Olympics. The Sierra Leone delegation included two track and field athletes; Ibrahim Turay, a sprinter and Ola Sesay, a long jumper. Craig Fulton is a former South Africa men's field hockey international and a former coach of the Ireland men's national field hockey team. As a player he represented South Africa at the 1996 and 2004 Summer Olympics and at the 2002 Men's Hockey World Cup. His brother, Grant, and his wife, Natalie, were also South Africa field hockey internationals. In 2004 Fulton and his wife became the first married couple to represent South Africa at the same Olympic Games.

In the quarterfinals they lost to the Brazilian team of Emanuel Rego and Alison Cerutti.

Roger Hudson is a South African sailor, who specialized in two-person dinghy (470) class. He represented South Africa, along with his trainee and partner Asenathi Jim, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for RaceAhead Yacht Club, under his personal coach and father Dave Hudson, who competed in the Flying Dutchman class at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. As of June 2015, Hudson is ranked twentieth in the world for the two-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation, despite his remarkable triumphs at the 2014 Delta Lloyd Regatta in Medemblik, Netherlands.
