Background

Grave Forsaken is a Christian metal band from Perth, Western Australia, having been established in September 2004. [1] [2] Their current members are vocalist and guitarist, Vaughn Gregory, guitarist, Elias Salmela, bassist, Matt Skipworth, and drummer, Luke Gallagher, while their former members were, vocalist and drummer, Tim Steadman, guitarist and drummer, Simon Hoggett, and drummers, Dave Kilgallon and Richard Sallows. Music history

The band commenced as a musical entity in 2004, [1] with their first release, an extended play, Grave Forsaken, came out independently, in 2005. [3] Their subsequent release, a studio album, Beside the River of Blood, was released in 2006, by Rowe Productions. [3] They released, another extended play, Horror and Sadness, independently in 2007. [3] The second studio album, Destined for Ascension, was released independently in 2008. [3] Their third studio album, This Day Forth, was released by Soundmass Records, in 2009. [4] The fourth studio album, Fight to the Death, was released from Soundmass Records, in 2010. Grave is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist Ola Lindgren who is their only constant member. The band had particular success in the early 1990s, and their first four albums, Into the Grave, You'll Never See..., Soulless and Hating Life, cemented their reputation as one of Sweden's foremost death metal bands. Grave went on hiatus in 1997, but got back together two years later. Since then, they have released seven more albums, making a total of eleven studio albums. Along with Dismember, Entombed and Unleashed, Grave is considered one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.

Horde is the unblack metal solo project of Australian musician Jayson Sherlock, formerly of Mortification and Paramaecium. In 1994, the only studio album, Hellig Usvart, was released on Nuclear Blast Records. With a session line-up, Horde played live in 2006 in Norway and in 2010 in Finland and Germany. Hellig Usvart proved to be a seminal release for the unblack metal movement, and the album was highly controversial in the secular black metal scene at the time it was released.

Scrolls of the Megilloth is the second studio album by Australian Christian extreme metal band Mortification. It was released on 28 August 1992. The band's most famous release, this album is full-on death metal, with the thrash metal roots barely showing, and possibly their most extreme album to date. According to AllMusic, the album "garnered the band some attention from the heavy metal underground" and contains "some of the most frightening vocals ever recorded." In 2010, HM Magazine ranked Scrolls of the Megilloth number 17 on the Top 100 Christian Metal Albums of All Time list with Van Pelt stating that "Though the band has been living it down ever since, this album raised the standard of Christian grindcore to almost unattainable levels."

Onward to Olympas was an American metalcore band from Salisbury, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2013. Their membership was vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, Nick Helvey. The band released one independently made album, The End of the Beginning, in 2007, and their lone extended play, Victory at All Costs, in 2008. Their first studio album, This World Is Not My Home, was released by Facedown Records, in 2010. The subsequent studio album, The War within Us, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011. Call to Preserve was an American Christian and straight edge crossover thrash band who played a fusion hardcore punk and metalcore. They come from Rockledge, Florida. The band started making music in 2003, and disbanded in 2011. Their membership was vocalist, John Ellis, guitarists, Duke Ahrens, Matt Aviles, and Harbor Partin, bass guitarist, Kyle Bowen, and drummer, Mike Aviles. The band released one independently made extended play, Call to Preserve, in 2003. Their first studio album, Unsinkable, was released by Strike First Records, in 2006. The subsequent studio album, From Isolation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2008. They released, Life of Defiance, with Facedown Records, in 2010, and this was final studio album. Their last release, an extended play, Validation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011, marking this as their final musical recording.

Bloodlined Calligraphy is an American Christian metal band, and they primarily play metalcore. They come from Ypsilanti, Michigan. The band started making music in 1999. Their membership was Matt Carter, Ally French, Ryan Hampton, and Eric Cargile. The band released, Say Hi to the Bad Guy, an album, with Selah Records, in 2002. The group became part of Strike First Records, where they released, The Beginning of the End, an extended play, in 2004. They signed to Facedown Records, where they released, They Want You Silent, another studio album, in 2004. Their subsequent studio album, Ypsilanti, was released by Facedown Records, in 2006. The band played their last show on April 19, 2014. The band reunited in 2017 for Facedown Fest 2017.

Jesus Wept is an American Christian rock band who primarily play hardcore punk, metalcore, post-hardcore, and post-metal. They come from Erie, Pennsylvania. The band started making music in 2004, and their members are Dan Quiggle, Dave Quiggle, Sean Sundy, Jon Beckman, and Adam Salaga. Their first extended play, Sick City, was released by Strike First Records in 2006. The band released a studio album, Show's Over, in 2006, with Strike First Records.

Grave Robber is an American horror punk band from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band started rehearsing in 2005. In 2006, Grave Robber released, a vinyl EP, Love Hurts independently. Their first two studio albums, Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, were released by Retroactive Records, correspondingly in 2008 and 2009. The subsequent three studio albums, Exhumed, You're All Gonna Die!, and Escaping The Grave were released by Rottweiler Records, correspondingly in 2010, 2011, and 2018. An EP, Straight To Hell was released in 2014. Rottweiler Records has acquired the rights to Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, with plans to re-release in 2020.

Scourged Flesh is a Christian metal band that originated in Perth, Western Australia.

Wucan is a German rock band from Dresden. The band were formed in 2011 and have released an EP and two studio albums to date. Francis Tobolsky, Tim George and Patrik Dröge are the founding members of the band and have remained in the line-up since. Leo Vaessen is the current drummer after several other drummers left the band.
