Great Dirty World is the third studio album by Canadian musician Lawrence Gowan,originally released in 1987. The album reached multi-platinum status in Canada [5] and spawned the singles,"Moonlight Desires," "Awake the Giant," and "Living in the Golden Age". Jon Anderson of Yes contributed backing vocals to "Moonlight Desires". [6] The album went on to reach #4 in the Canadian charts,surpassing Strange Animal ,Gowan's previous album. The album was remastered in 2012,which added new artwork and three re-recorded bonus tracks which were originally from this album. [7]

Cyclorama is the fourteenth studio album by Styx,released in 2003. This was the first studio album with Lawrence Gowan,following the departure of group co-founder Dennis DeYoung in 1999. It was also the latter of two albums to feature Glen Burtnik,and the only album released by the Lawrence Gowan/Tommy Shaw/James "JY" Young/Glen Burtnik/Chuck Panozzo/Todd Sucherman lineup,and as such the only original Styx album to feature four different singer-songwriters as opposed to the usual three. The album peaked significantly higher on the Billboard album charts than Styx's previous release,Brave New World (1999),ending up 48 slots higher at No. 127,but paled in comparison to previous 1970s and 1980s releases on A&M Records.
Teenage Fanclub are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in 1989. The group were founded by Norman Blake,Raymond McGinley and Gerard Love,all of whom shared lead vocals and songwriting duties until Love's departure in 2018. Shaking the Tree:Sixteen Golden Greats is a compilation album by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel. It was released in 1990 as Gabriel's first career retrospective,including songs from his first solo album Peter Gabriel (1977),through Passion:Music for The Last Temptation of Christ (1989). It was remastered with most of Gabriel's catalogue in 2002. The vinyl version of the album is called Shaking the Tree:Twelve Golden Greats.
Crime &the City Solution are an Australian rock band formed in late 1977 by singer-songwriter and mainstay Simon Bonney. They disbanded in 1979 leaving only bootleg recordings and demos. In late 1983,Bonney travelled to London and in 1985 he formed a new version of the group in the U.K. which included members of the recently disbanded The Birthday Party;later they transferred to Berlin,where they issued four albums –Room of Lights (1986),Shine (1988),The Bride Ship (1989) and Paradise Discotheque (1990) –before disbanding again in 1991. In 2012,Bonney reformed the band in Detroit with two veterans of its Berlin era and a handful of new members.

It was released on November 27,2007,by Los Angeles-based Manimal Vinyl Records. According to label head Paul Beahan,the idea for the album was conceived by him in a dream. He enlisted multiple artists to work on the project,including Giant Drag,Lavender Diamond,Winter Flowers and Chapin Sisters. Although he's not a fan of Madonna,Beahan wanted to see how her songs would sound when covered by different musicians.
Absolute Classic Masterpieces is the third compilation album by English alternative rock band Felt,released in 1992. It collects tracks from the band's singles and albums recorded for Cherry Red between 1981 and 1985,with two exceptions:"Dance of Deliverance" from guitarist Maurice Deebank's album,Inner Thought Zone;and "Index",a single recorded and released by leader Lawrence before the band formed properly.
