College basketball in the United States is governed by collegiate athletic bodies including National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Each of these various organizations are subdivided into from one to three divisions based on the number and level of scholarships that may be provided to the athletes.

Glendale Community College (GCC) is a public community college in Glendale, Arizona. GCC opened in 1965. Programs include associate degrees, certificate programs, industry-specific training, and university transfer. GCC is a part of the Maricopa County Community College District, one of the largest community college districts in the United States. Lake Land College is a community college in Mattoon, Illinois. The college was founded in 1966. As of the Fall 2019 semester Lake Land serves 4,466 students, mainly from the east-central Illinois region, in various two-year programs. Lake Land students can earn a degree for immediate employment or use the training to prepare for further university education, often at Eastern Illinois University. The College of Central Florida (CF) is a public college with campuses in Marion, Citrus, and Levy counties. It is part of the Florida College System. Founded in 1957 as Central Florida Junior College, CF has grown to span three counties and include the Appleton Museum of Art and Vintage Farm.

Indian Hills Community College (IHCC) is a public community college in Iowa with campuses located in Ottumwa, Iowa and Centerville, Iowa. IHCC serves both traditional residential students and commuter students, primarily from a ten-county area in southeast Iowa as well as portions of northern Missouri. IHCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
Timothy Carter Corbin is the head baseball coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. Since becoming the coach of Vanderbilt in 2003, Corbin has transformed the Commodores from a perennial Southeastern Conference doormat to an elite program. When he arrived in 2003, Vanderbilt had only had six winning seasons in SEC play since baseball became a scholarship sport in 1968, and had only been to three NCAA Tournaments in school history. However, since then, they have been to all but one NCAA Tournament since 2004.
Wayne Leon Graham is the former head coach of the Rice Owls baseball team in Houston, Texas. He has coached one College World Series championship team and five NJCAA World Series championship teams. Also a former professional baseball player, Graham played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets.
Copiah–Lincoln Community College (Co–Lin) is a public community college with its main campus in Wesson, Mississippi. The Co–Lin District serves a seven-county area including Adams, Copiah, Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln and Simpson counties. The Tulane Green Wave baseball team represents Tulane University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The Green Wave baseball team competes in the American Athletic Conference and play their home games on campus at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. They are coached by head coach Travis Jewett.

Jay Thomas Spoonhour is an American basketball coach. He was the head men's basketball coach at Eastern Illinois University, a position he had held from 2012 until 2021. Previously, Spoonhour served as the head coach at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri. He has also held several assistant jobs, including at Saint Louis, UNLV, Missouri and Texas-San Antonio. He served as the interim head coach of the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in 2004 after his father, Charlie Spoonhour, resigned mid-season.

Jayden Amari Scrubb is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Agua Caliente Clippers of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the John A. Logan Volunteers and was named NABC NJCAA Division I Player of the Year as a sophomore. Scrubb was originally committed to continue his college career with Louisville but instead declared for the 2020 NBA draft.
Alonzo Verge Jr. is an American college basketball player for the Nebraska Cornhuskers of the Big Ten Conference. He previously played for the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Moberly Area CC Greyhounds.
