Green Action (Croatian : Zelena akcija) is an environmental organisation based in Zagreb, Croatia and the national member of Friends of the Earth. Based with a full-time activist group with thirteen members back by a larger number of volunteers, the organisation works on topics related to biodiversity, energy, climate change, freshwater, genetically modified organisms, transport, urbanism and waste. Green Action was founded in 1990. [1] [2]

Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) is an international network of grassroots environmental organizations in 73 countries. About half of the member groups call themselves "Friends of the Earth" in their own languages; the others use other names. The organization was founded in 1969 in San Francisco by David Brower, Donald Aitken and Gary Soucie after Brower's split with the Sierra Club because of the latter's positive approach to nuclear energy. The founding donation of $500,000 was provided by Robert Orville Anderson, the owner of Atlantic Richfield oil company. It became an international network of organizations in 1971 with a meeting of representatives from four countries: U.S., Sweden, the UK and France.

The Green List was a green political party in Croatia. It was founded in 2005 prior to local elections for Zagreb Assembly in which it first competed. Its initial name was Greens for Zagreb. At the local elections in May 2009, the party won 14 seats in Zagreb city districts councils and five in other local councils. In addition to their green politics, the party strongly supported gender equality, equal gender representation and participation and LGBT rights. In 2014 the Green List merged with ORaH.

The Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature, also known as Friends of the Earth Norway, is one of the largest Norwegian environmental organisations with approximately 24,000 members. The organisation is based on a volunteer work among the members, constituting work both at local and national levels. Norges Naturvernforbund works within a large range of environmental areas. The organisation is affiliated with Friends of the Earth, and member of INFORSE-Europe.

Dalmatian Action was a 1990s regionalist and autonomist party in the region of Dalmatia within Croatia, that advocated for the political autonomy of Dalmatia within Croatia, including the creation of a Dalmatian regional government with a legislative assembly, with autonomy over cultural issues involving Dalmatia. It was founded in December 1990. During the Croatian War of Independence, Croatian President Franjo Tuđman accused the DA of being an anti-Croat separatist organization in league with Serb separatists intent on breaking up Croatia, the DA responded to Tuđman's accusation by denying its validity, saying that it was only interested in autonomy, and said that an autonomous Dalmatia would be a beneficial means to end the Serbian aggression and terrorism of Serbs from self-proclaimed Krajina, as Dalmatian autonomy could insure Dalmatian Serbs' autonomy from the central government in Zagreb, as an alternative to Serb autonomy or independence.
