The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region.

He was the inaugural fairest and best player at West Coast (1987), holds the Eagles' record for the most possessions in a game (48) and captained the club in 1990.

Scott Watters is a former Australian rules football player and coach. As a player, he was drafted from the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) to the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (WAFL) in 1988. He later playing for the Sydney Swans and Fremantle. He was a member of the 1985 Teal Cup winning side, the first year that Western Australia had won the national championships. As a coach, he started his career in 2006 with WAFL team Subiaco, followed by a stint as an assistant coach with the Collingwood Football Club from 2010 to 2011. Watters then became the senior coach of the St Kilda Football Club, following Ross Lyon's departure, for two seasons from 2012 to 2013.
Travis Edmonds is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Swan Districts Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He was also drafted into the Australian Football League three times: to Hawthorn in 1991, to West Coast in 1993, and Fremantle in 1995, but only played one senior game, with Fremantle in 1995. Edmonds debuted for Swan Districts in 1990, and won club best and fairest awards in 1992, 1993, 1997, 2000, and 2001, as well as captaining the club from 2000 to 2002. He also played four interstate matches for Western Australia. Edmonds finished his career with 262 games for Swan Districts, a club record. After the conclusion of his WAFL career in 2005, he was recruited by the Carey Park Football Club in the South West Football League (SWFL), where he played two seasons, winning the league's best and fairest award, the Hayward Medal, in 2006 and captaining the club in 2007.
Ryan Edwin Turnbull is a former Australian rules footballer who represented the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Turnbull was a member of the Eagles' 1994 premiership side, and was the club's first-choice ruckman for much of the 1990s. He also played with the Claremont and East Perth Football Clubs in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and was awarded the Sandover Medal in 2001 as the best player in the competition, as well as winning the Simpson Medal in 2001 and 2002 as the best player in the league's grand final. In interstate football, Turnbull represented Western Australia in five State of Origin matches between 1992 and 1999, later captaining a Western Australian representative side in 2003.
Phillip Michael "Phil" Narkle is a former Australian rules football player of Indigenous Australian descent who played for St Kilda and West Coast in the Australian Football League (AFL) and Swan Districts Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) during the mid-late 1970s and early 1990s. Younger brother of Keith Narkle who also played for Swan Districts, Phil generally played on the wing position. Regarded as a highly skilled and determined footballer with tremendous pace, Phil was perfectly suited to the wing position where he could turn defence into attack.
Ashley Prescott is a former Australian rules footballer. He played with the Richmond and Fremantle Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL) between 1993 and 2001, was senior coachof the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) from 2004 to 2007 and is currently an assistant coach with the Gold Coast Football Club in the AFL.

Jamie Bennell is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Bunbury, Western Australia, he was recruited by Melbourne in the 2008 National Draft, and played 57 games for the club before being delisted at the end of the 2012 AFL season. He was then redrafted by West Coast in the 2013 Rookie Draft, and played an additional 30 games before again being delisted at the end of the 2016 season.

Gerrick Peter Weedon is an Australian rules footballer who previously played with the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from the Kimberley region of Western Australia, Weedon moved to Perth to play for Claremont, before being recruited by West Coast with the 22nd pick overall in the 2009 National Draft, playing his first game for the club in round seven of the 2011 season. Due to his inability to break into West Coast's senior side, Weedon spent most of his time at the club playing in the WAFL, playing in Claremont's premiership sides in both 2011 and 2012. He was delisted from West Coast at the end of the 2012 season.
Ryan Neates is an Australian rules footballer currently listed with the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), having previously played with the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). From Perth, Western Australia, Neates represented his state at the 2009 National Under-18 Championships, and debuted for Claremont at the senior level the following season, before being drafted with the fifth pick in the 2010 AFL Pre-season Draft. For a period the shortest player on an AFL list, Neates played his first and only senior game for West Coast in round seven of the 2012 season, having missed the entire 2011 season due to injury. He was delisted by West Coast at the end of the 2012 season, but continues to play WAFL matches for Claremont.
