Rahul Sharad Dravid is an Indian cricket coach and former captain of the Indian national team,currently serving as its head coach. Prior to his appointment to the senior men's national team,Dravid was the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA),and the head coach of the India Under-19 and India A teams. Under his tutelage,the Under-19 team finished as runners-up at the 2016 U-19 Cricket World Cup and won the 2018 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Akram is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time,as well as one of the greatest left-arm fast bowlers in cricket history. He is often revered as The Sultan of Swing . In October 2013,Wasim Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be named in an all-time Test World XI to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. Michael John Clarke is an Australian former cricketer. Pahlan Ratanji "Polly" Umrigar was an Indian cricketer. He played in the Indian cricket team and played first-class cricket for Bombay and Gujarat. The 2002 ICC Champions Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Sri Lanka in 2002. It marked the third edition of the ICC Champions Trophy,with the previous two tournaments being known as the ICC Knock Out Tournaments. Originally scheduled to be held in India,the tournament was moved to Sri Lanka when India did not grant an exemption from tax,as needed. The tournament consisted of fifteen matches,including two semi-finals and a final match. This event was notable as it marked the first time that teams from all member nations of the International Cricket Council (ICC) visited Sri Lanka to participate in a cricket tournament.
Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer who has represented India in Tests,ODIs and T20Is. He is a 6 ft 4 in tall right-arm fast-medium bowler. At the age of 18,Sharma was called to join the Indian squad for the tour of South Africa in 2006–07. However,after receiving the call and organising travel arrangements,he was deselected. In reference to his height and lean physique in his Under-19 days,the bowler was nicknamed Lambu. In 2011,he became the fifth youngest player to take 100 Test wickets. Against South Africa in 2013,Ishant Sharma became the fifth quickest Indian to grab 100 ODI wickets. While being a "rhythm" bowler,he still is considered one of the fastest Indian bowlers having bowled in excess of 150 km/h on several occasions in international cricket as well as the IPL,his fastest being 152.2 km/h bowled to Ricky Ponting on Boxing Day Test in 2011. In 2020,Indian government has awarded him the Arjuna Award to recognize his outstanding achievement in cricket. Sharma was a member of the Indian team that won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
The Indian cricket team toured England in the 1996 cricket season. They played a total of eighteen matches,including three Tests and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) against England. In the Tests and ODIs,India were captained by Mohammad Azharuddin,while Michael Atherton captained England.
The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe between 15 and 25 October 1992. The series was played as a prelude for India's tour of South Africa,and included just one Test match and one One Day International (ODI).
Mustafizur Rahman is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler. Widely regarded as one of the best fast bowlers of his generation and one of the best fast bowlers to emerge from the country. He is the only overseas player to win the Emerging Player Award in 2016 IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
