Zahid Guddu Khan, or just Guddu, is a Pakistani film archivist from Karachi. He is the owner of Guddu Film Archive.

Work

Coming from a Pathan family and residing in Karachi, Guddu has been collecting film-related material since his boyhood. Reportedly, he has more than 15000 old and rare Lollywood film posters, photographs, magazines, books, postcards, CDs, and audio cassettes in his personal collection from 1948 to 1990s. He also runs a YouTube channel Guddu Film Archive. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Guddu has exhibited his collection on several occasions. [7] [8] [9] In 2016, the French cultural center Alliance Francaise de Karachi managed to display his collection to the general public. That exhibition was named "Filmistan". [1] [10] [11] [12]

She has appeared in more than 200 films since making her debut in 1985 and has been recognised by Pakistan film critics for her acting. She received the Pride of Performance Award in 2019 for her contributions to Pakistani cinema.

<i>Moor</i> (film) 2015 Pakistani film

Moor is a 2015 Pakistani drama film written and directed by Jami and co-produced by Nazira Ali, Nadeem Mandviwalla and Jami under the production banner of Azad Film Company and Mandviwalla Entertainment. The film stars Hameed Sheikh in lead along with Samiya Mumtaz, Shaz Khan, Nayyar Ejaz, Ayaz Samoo and Abdul Qadir in lead roles. The film's title, Moor, is a Pashto word meaning "Mother". Moor was previously named as Morqaye. Film's story depicts the railway system of Balochistan, especially the closure of Zhob valley railways in 1984. Besides that the movie shows how families are run by the women. According to the director of the movie, the film depicts living through the problems faced by Pakistan.

Asim Raza is a Pakistani film and television commercial director and producer. Asim began his career as an architect and worked with the architectural firm Arshad Shahid Abdullah (PVT) LTD before venturing into film production and direction. He made his debut as a film maker in the mid-90s, he worked in all visual mediums from TV commercials to music videos, long plays and feature films. In 2004, Asim won the Lux Style Award for Best Music Video Director for "Mahi Ve". In 2013, Asim directed a television film, Behadd which won the Hum Award for Best Television Film. Asim marked his feature film debut with a coming-of-age drama Ho Mann Jahaan, Asim Raza owns a production company called The Vision Factory.

The screenplay was written by Rashna Abdi, Imtisal Abbasi and Asim Raza, while dialogues were written by Asim Raza, Imtisal Abbasi, Rashna Abdi and Yasir Hussain. The film stars Adeel Hussain, Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar and Sonya Jehan, along with veterans Bushra Ansari, Arshad Mahmud, Jamal Shah and Munawar Siddiqui as part of the cast. It is produced in Urdu.

Nadeem Baig is Pakistani film and television director, producer and writer from Karachi. Baig won the Lux Style Award For Best Director for Punjab Nahi Jaungi.

Actor in Law is a 2016 Pakistani socio-comedy film directed by Nabeel Qureshi, co-written and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza along with Mehdi Ali. The film was released on Eid-ul-Adha 2016 by Urdu 1 Pictures. The film stars Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat in lead roles. The cast also includes veteran Indian actor Om Puri in his first Pakistani film. On 19 April 2017, the movie received the Best Film award at the 16th Lux Style Awards.

<i>Teefa in Trouble</i> 2018 Pakistani film directed by Ahsan Rahim

Teefa in Trouble is a 2018 Pakistani romantic action comedy film. The film is the directorial debut of Ahsan Rahim, who was previously known for directing music videos and television commercials, under his Tadpole Films banner. It stars Ali Zafar and Maya Ali, who also made their Pakistani film debuts. It is also the debut film under Zafar's banner Lightingale Productions.

Kataksha is 2019 Pakistani psychological horror film. Directed and written by Abu Aleeha, the film stars Saleem Meraj, Kiran Tabeir, Kasim Khan, Nimra Shahid and Mubeen Gabol as a group of news crew on a mission to investigate haunted locations. During their journey, they explore the Katas Raj Temple near the town of Kallar Kahar, encountering the peculiar groundskeeper in charge.

The Nigar Award for Best Actor, also known as Nigar Public Film Award for Best Actor is an award constituted for the cinema of Pakistan to recognise contribution of a lead actor in Lollywood. Established in 1958 by Ilyas Rashidi, it is presented annually by Nigar magazine as part of its annual ceremony of Nigar Awards. The award ceremony takes place independently and is not associated with any government or for-profit entities such as production house or television channel.
