Guillermina Casique Vences (born 2 August 1961) is a Mexican politician from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). In the 2009 mid-terms she was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the State of Mexico's 36th district during the 61st session of Congress (2009 to 2012). [1]

She was co-founder of the academy of Mexican dance in 1947 and established together with Josefina Lavalle the national ballet company in Mexico City in 1948, which has been located in Querétaro since 1991, where she also established the national center of contemporary dance. Bravo is considered as main figure of modern Mexican dance. Her sister Lola (1918–2004) was a notable stage actress.

Guillermina Green (1922–2006), also known as Guillermina Grin, was a Spanish film actress. She appeared in twenty three films including The Butterfly That Flew Over the Sea (1948). She was born in Seville, to a Spanish mother and an English father, William Green, an optician who worked in the city. In 1941 she was spotted by the film director Florian Rey and given a small part in one of his films. She graduated to leading lady status, and starred in Spanish films during the decade. She later emigrated to Mexico, but retired from acting in 1951 following her marriage to producer Guillermo Calderón.
Christa Cowrie is a German-Mexican photographer, who began her career in photojournalism but is best known for her work documenting Mexico’s dance the theater events. Cowrie arrived in Mexico in 1963 and began her career in 1975 with the Excélsior newspaper. In 1977, she was one of the founders of the Unomásuno newspaper, also working to found one its supplements, focusing on ecological journalism. Her work began to shift towards photography dance and theater in the mid 1990s working with the Centro Nacional de las Artes. The archive she has created with this institution is one of the most important in Mexico documenting dance and theater. Her work has been recognized with membership in the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana.
Guillermina Dulché is a Mexican painter, whose work has been recognized with membership in the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana. Dulché was born in Silao, Guanajuato and spent most of her childhood there. She took her first drawing and painting classes there with a local teacher, but when she was thirteen, she went to Mexico City to study art more formally. She enrolled in the Academy of San Carlos and studied under José Chávez Morado, a friend of her family’s. At the same time she took classes at one of the Escuelas de Aire Libre and regular classes in middle and high school. The rest of her formal training, between 1958 and 1962 was under a number of teachers including Adolfo Mexiac, Antonio Ramírez, Luis Nishizawa, Santos Balmori, Gabriel Fernández Ledesma, Antonio Rodríguez Luna, Nicolás Moreno and others.
Elena Huerta Múzquiz, also known as Elena Huerta de Arenal was a Mexican artist, she was best known for her mural work in her hometown of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. Most of her art career was dedicated to teaching, but she was one of the founders of the Compañía de Teatro Infantil with German Cueto, Lola Cueto, Angelina Beloff and Leopoldo Méndez, the Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios and a founding member of the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana.

Olive Stringer Distinguished Chair in Oncology in Honor of Sue Gribble Stringer at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Lozano is recognised for her studies of the p53 tumour suppressor pathway, characterising the protein as a regulator of gene expression and that is disturbed in many cancers. She was the first to recognize that the p53 gene encoded a transcriptional activator of other genes Her lab has made significant contributions by developing and analyzing mouse models to study the activities of mutant p53, revealing how these mutations drive tumor development and progression. She also found out how the Mdm2 and Mdm4 proteins work in the body, especially in stopping cancer and controlling p53. This research suggested that blocking Mdm2/4 could be a new way to treat cancer.
