Gunnhild Eide Sundli (born 2 July 1985) is a Norwegian musical artist. She was born and raised in Orkdal, Norway and now resides in Trondheim. [1]
Sundli started to "kvede" (a traditional Norwegian singing tradition) as a nine-year-old, and has since also been singing classical and jazz. She studied "kveding" at Heimdal videregående skole (high school).
Sundli is best known as the singer of the band Gåte from 1999 until the band took a break in 2005. [2] In 2017 Gåte returned with a new EP and a full length album in 2019. They are currently working on producing a "Best of" album, with a new album in late 2021.
In February 2006 she started her acting career with her debut in the cabaret Cafe Isogaisa by Hans Rotmo, and continued in June in the role as Anna in Korsvikaspillet in Trondheim. In August she played Lucie in the opera about Olav Engelbrektsson on Steinvikholmen, before she participated in the historical play Raud Vinter in Levanger in September. In 2007 she acted in Ibsen's Villanden , at Trøndelag Teater, and she also played the main character Maren in the historical play Maren Dømt til Døden on Hitra the same year. In 2024, Gåte won Melodi Grand Prix, Norway’s selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest, with their song “Ulveham”. They made it to the Grand Final of Eurovision 2024, where they finished 25th.

Orkdal is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it joined Orkland Municipality. It was part of the Orkdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the city of Orkanger. Some of the notable villages in the municipality included Kjøra, Geitastrand, Gjølme, Thamshavn, Fannrem, Vormstad, Svorkmo, and Hoston.
Timothy Charles Buckley III was an American musician. He began his career based in folk rock, but subsequently experimented with genres such as psychedelia, jazz, the avant-garde, and funk paired with his unique five-octave vocal range. His commercial peak came with the 1969 album Happy Sad, reaching No. 81 on the charts, while his experimental 1970 album Starsailor went on to become a cult favorite. The latter contained his best known song, "Song to the Siren." Buckley died at the age of 28 from a heroin and morphine overdose, leaving behind sons Taylor and Jeff.

Gåte is a band from Trøndelag, Norway playing Norwegian folk music bred with metal and electronica. Their style has been referred to as progressive folk-rock. The band was put together by Sveinung Sundli in 2000 and originally consisted of his younger sister Gunnhild Sundli (vocals), Gjermund Landrø, Martin Langlie (drums) and Magnus Børmark. Langlie was replaced by Kenneth Kapstad in 2004. They represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "Ulveham".

"Ulveham" is a song by Norwegian folk rock and metal band Gåte. It was originally released 12 December 2023 on the EP Vandrar as a track. It was later shortened and re-published as a single upon its selection to participate in Melodi Grand Prix 2024. The song ultimately won the selection and thus represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. It is Norway's first Eurovision entry since 2006 to be sung in Norwegian, and finished in 25th place at the final with 16 points.
