Jagadish Shivappa Shettar is an Indian politician,who served as the 15th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2012 to 2013. He is currently serving as Member of Karnataka Legislative Council. He has subsequently served as Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He also served as the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly during 2008–2009. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Earlier in 2023 he had joined the Indian National Congress,where he quit the BJP on being denied the MLA ticket in 2023. He represented Hubli-Dharwad Central Vidhan Sabha seat,which he resigned in 2023 before the elections. In March 2024,he was announced as the BJP candidate from the Belgaum Constituency for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Manorama Madhwaraj is an Indian politician,social worker and officeholder who was the first woman cabinet minister of India elected as an MLA in the 5th,8th and 9th Karnataka Legislative Assembly. On all of these occasions she was elected from Udupi constituency and was a member of the Indian National Congress.

Kalmady Gopala Poojary is an Indian politician who is the current Chairman of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Baindur. He was born in Kalmady,Byndoor in August of 1959 to a poor farmer family. After graduation Gopala Poojary moved to Mumbai to find work. On his return to Karnataka,Gopala Poojary started his restaurant business in 1984. Introduced to politics through his political Godfather S Bangarappa. Gopala Poojary contests election for the first time as a member of the KCP in 1994 garnering 10436 votes. Gopala Poojary contests the 1996 by election as an INC candidate for the first time winning the election by 8000 votes. Gopala Poojary goes on to win the next two elections registering a hattrick of wins in 1996,1999 and 2004. He tasted defeat for the first time in 2008. He later went on to hold the Udupi District President Post. Gopala Poojary contests election once again in 2013 and wins by a margin of 31000 votes. He is defeated in the election of 2018. Gopala Poojary is considered to be a very senior leader in Udupi and is regarded as "Badavara Bandu" and lauded for being a simple politician in his hometown Byndoor.
Pramod Madhwaraj is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the state of Karnataka. In June 2016 Madhwaraj was inducted into the Siddaramaiah led government of Karnataka as a cabinet minister with Independent Charge. Madhwaraj holds the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department,Fisheries Department portfolio in the Government of Karnataka. He is the 10th richest minister in Karnataka to be sworn into the Karnataka Cabinet. Madhwaraj was born in Koli caste of Karnataka state of India.
Shettihalli Timmegowda Somashekhar Gowda is an Indian politician who was the Minister of State for Co-Operation of Karnataka from 6 February 2020 until 13 May 2023. He was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Yeshvanthapura in the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Indian National Congress. He later switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party and won the by-election in 2019. He got re-elected on a BJP ticket in the 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election. As of 19 August 2023,speculations are rife that he may switch back to his old party,the INC,amidst allegations that local BJP leaders are hindering his political growth.
Kamakshipalya Gopalaiah is an Indian politician who was serving as the Minister of Excise of Karnataka from 21 January 2021 till May 2023. He was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Mahalakshmi Layout in the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election as a member of Janata Dal (Secular). Later,he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019 and won the by-elections the same year. He is now a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Karnataka,having won from Mahalakshmi Layout in Bangalore. His party,the Bharatiya Janata Party lost the election to the Indian National Congress.
Venkatreddy Mudnal was an Indian politician who was a MLA of Yadgir. He is the son of Freedom Fighter and Former Animal Husbandry Minister Vishwanath Reddy Mudnal who was also MLA from the same constituency.

Bhagirathi Murulya is an Indian politician who was first elected to office in 2023 as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Sullia constituency. She is a member of the women's and children's welfare committee. This seat had previously been held for six terms by Angara S.,before Murulya was selected as a BJP candidate. Murulya belongs to the Tulu-speaking Adi Dravida community,and she was the poorest candidate to win a seat in the assembly. Murulya had worked as a tailor and a teacher before becoming a MLA.
