Jorge Gustavo Roverano Soto (born July 22, 1967 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a Uruguayan-Peruvian footballer who played for clubs of Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Colombia.
Alianza Fútbol Club, also known simply as Alianza, is a professional football club based in San Salvador, El Salvador. Founded in 1958, Alianza was almost immediately successful, winning its first championships in the 1966 and 1967 Salvadoran seasons. Even more significantly, Alianza was the first Central American and Salvadoran club to win the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1967, and is currently one of only three Salvadoran teams to have done so.

According to CONMEBOL, it is considered the most popular club in Peru, and the 6th most popular club in South America, with more than 12 million fans as of April 2016.
Club Cienciano, more commonly known as Cienciano, is a Peruvian professional football club based in Cusco, that currently plays in the Peruvian Primera División. It gained worldwide recognition after defeating River Plate in the finals of the 2003 Copa Sudamericana and Boca Juniors in the 2004 Recopa Sudamericana. The club plays their home games at Estadio Garcilaso which has a capacity of 45,000. The club shares the stadium with other clubs from Cusco, Cusco FC and Deportivo Garcilaso.
Club Alianza Atlético de Sullana, shorted to Alianza Atlético, is a Peruvian football club, located in the city of Sullana, Piura. The club was founded in 1920 and promoted to the Peruvian Primera División in 1988 and again in 2015. Alianza Atlético has a long-standing rivalry with Atlético Grau and Atlético Torino. They are the only Peruvian top-tier club not based in a state capital.

In the 2011–12 football season, the top league, Uruguayan Primera División, was won by Nacional. Progreso won the Segunda División and won promotion along with Central Español and Juventud. Three Uruguayan teams qualified for each of the 2011 Copa Sudamericana and 2012 Copa Libertadores. The national team played the first five of its qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and took part in the 2011 Pan American Games, where the team lost to Argentina in the semifinal. National youth teams were also in action.

Marco Aldair Rodríguez Iraola, is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Peruvian club Alianza Lima. Aldair came into fame after breaking the leg of Robert Rojas during a game for the Copa Libertadores tournament in Peru. Aldair, frustrated by his performance during the match, assaulted Robert Rojas knocking him to the ground, and kicking lower leg causing a fracture of the tibia. Aldair did not apologize to the injured player but instead opted to hurl insults while the player agonized on the ground.
