Gustavo Vollmer-Ravelo (died 29 August 1954) was a Cuban tennis player. [1] He was of German descent. [2]

Vollmer appeared in three Davis Cup ties for Cuba, against Mexico and the United States in 1929, then Australia in 1932. His two career singles wins both came against Mexican players and he won a set against Harry Hopman when he played Australia. [3]

In Havana in 1930 he won the men's singles competition at the Central American and Caribbean Games. [2]

Lewis Alan Hoad was an Australian tennis player whose career ran from the early 1950s through the early 1970s. Hoad won four Grand Slam tournaments as an amateur. He was a member of the Australian team that won the Davis Cup four times between 1952 and 1956. Hoad turned professional in July 1957. Ashley John Cooper AO was an Australian tennis player who played between 1953 and 1968. He was recognised as the world's best amateur player during the years of 1957 and 1958. Cooper won four singles and four doubles titles at Grand Slam tournaments. He won three of the four Grand Slam events in 1958. He turned professional in 1959.
