Guy Kabombo Muadiamvitaet Mireille Malengele Kuzoma (born 14 May 1964 [1] ) is a politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Defense since 12 June 2024. [2] He served as the director general of the Official Journal of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. [3]
Guy Kabombo Muadiamvita was born 14 May 1964 in Mbuji-Mayi,Kasaï-Oriental. [1] [4]
He attended primary and secondary school in Mwene-Ditu. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the l'Institut Facultaire de Développement (IFAD). [5] He has an advanced studies diploma (DEA) in public law from the University of Kinshasa. [5] He has some medical training from l'Institut de formation en soins infirmiers (IFSI) Tenon Débrousse (AP-HP) in Paris. [5]
In his youth he served as a party activist from Mwene-Ditu with the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS). [5] He helped popularise the influential December 1980 Lettre des 13 parlementaires (Letter of the 13 parliamentarians) which denounced the dictatorship of Mobutu Sese Seko. [6] [5] He served as the youth mobilization leader and president of UDPS party in France. [5]
He was elected to the National Assembly in the 2011 Democratic Republic of the Congo parliamentary election for the Mwene-Ditu district. [7] Since Étienne Tshisekedi objected to the results of the election,he did not take his seat.
He was elected again to the National Assembly in the 2023 Democratic Republic of the Congo general election for the Tshilenge District in Kasaï-Oriental. He took office on 12 February 2024. [8] [9] He is reported to be a friend and confidant of Félix Tshisekedi. [10]
On 21 November 2019 he was made the acting Director General of the Official Journal of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (JORDC). On 6 December 2019,his appointment was made official. [5] [11] [12]
He was appointed to the defense minister position on 28 May 2024 as part of the Suminwa cabinet. [2] He succeeds Jean-Pierre Bemba who was shuffled into the transportation minister position. [13] His appointment comes shortly after the 2024 coup attempt and during the ongoing hostilities facing the Rwandan-backed M23 rebels. [2] [14]

Kasaï-Oriental was one of the eleven provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo between 1966 and 2015,when it was split into the new,smaller Kasai-Oriental province,the Lomami and the Sankuru provinces.

During the presidency of Joseph Kabila,it was the largest opposition party in the country. The party identifies as social democratic.

It is one of the four so-called districts of Kinshasa. These were the administrative divisions of Kinshasa during much of the Mobutu years (1965-1997) and around which a number of government systems and services are still organized. For instance,Mont Amba makes up an eleven-member National Assembly constituency designated as Kinshasa III. However,these districts are not part of Congo's territorial organization.
Noël Kabamba Tshiani Muadiamvita is a Congolese economist and politician. He was a presidential candidate in the 2018 and 2023 general elections. In 2021 and 2023,Tshiani proposed a law to restrict various government positions to only individuals who were born to Congolese parents.
Nicolas Kazadi is a Congolese politician and career diplomat who has been Ambassador-at-large for the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 7 March 2019 and Minister of Finance since 12 April 2021.
General elections were held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 20 December 2023. Combined elections were held for the President,484 of the 500 members of the National Assembly,700 of the 716 elected members of the 26 provincial assemblies,and for the first time under the new constitution,951 members of a scaled down number of commune (municipal) councils. On election day,the Congolese government extended voting to 21 December for polling stations that had not opened on 20 December. Agence France-Presse reported that some polling stations would open as late as 24 December.

Delly Sesanga Hipungu Dja Kaseng Kapitu is a Congolese lawyer and deputy in the National Assembly representing Luiza Territory. He was a candidate in the 2023 Democratic Republic of the Congo general election,but withdrew in favor of Moïse Katumbi. He is also the head of political party Envoi de la RDC.
The Suminwa government also known as the Suminwa cabinet was formed following the appointment by President Félix Tshisekedi of Judith Suminwa as the first female Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 1 April 2024.
