Ranganath Misra 21st Chief Justice of India

Ranganath Mishra was as the 21st Chief Justice of India, serving from 25 September 1990 to 24 November 1991. He was also the first chairman of the National Human Rights Commission of India. He was nominated to Rajya Sabha by President Ram Nath Kovind on 16 March 2020. He is the third Supreme Court justice to serve in the Rajya Sabha, and the first to be nominated to his seat, after Ranganath Mishra and Baharul Islam, who were elected as members of the Indian National Congress.. P. Sathasivam 40th Chief Justice of India

Palanisamy Sathasivam was the 40th Chief Justice of India, holding the office from 2013 to 2014. On retirement from his judicial career, Sathasivam was appointed as the 21st Governor of Kerala from 5 September 2014 to 4 September 2019. Justice Baharul Islam was an Indian politician and Judge of the Supreme Court of India. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Parliament of India as a member of the Indian National Congress and in 1972 he resigned from the Rajya Sabha to became a judge in the Gauhati High Court after he retired as chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court he was recalled and made a Judge of the Supreme court. He gave a Judgement in the case absolving the then Congress Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra in the urban cooperative bank scandal and later resigned from the Supreme court to contest elections as a Congress party candidate and was elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Deepak Gupta (judge) Former Judge of Supreme Court of India

Deepak Gupta is a former Judge of Supreme Court of India and former Chief Justice of Tripura High Court and Chhattisgarh High Court. He has also served as a Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court, serving as the head of its green bench.
