Habibur Rehman Mondal (born 1986) is an Indian football player. He has played for Mohun Bagan AC and Mohammedan SC (Kolkata), [1] in the I-League as a defender. [2]
Habibur plays as both right back and center back for Mohun Bagan. Habibur has been capped several times for India.

Mohun Bagan Athletic Club is an Indian professional sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1889, its football section—Mohun Bagan SG—is one of the oldest in India and Asia. The Club is most notable for its victory over the East Yorkshire Regiment in the 1911 IFA Shield final. This victory made Mohun Bagan the first all-Indian club to win a championship over a British club and was a major moment during India's push for independence.
Gostha Behari Pal was an Indian footballer who played as a defender. Nicknamed "the Chinese wall", he was the first captain of the India national team, played during the 1920s and 30s. The Kolkata Derby is the football match in Kolkata, between East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan. In January 2020, the owners of a Kolkata based Indian Super League club ATK merged their brand with the football department of Mohun Bagan to become ATK Mohun Bagan. The rivalry between these two teams is almost 100 years old, and the matches witnessed large audience attendance and rivalry between patrons. It is considered to be one of the biggest Asian footballing rivalry. The first match was played on 8 August 1921 in Cooch Behar Cup and latest match of this historical derby was played on 25 February 2023 in Indian Super League. The Kolkata Derby is considered to be greatest derby in Asian Football and also one of the biggest derbies in the world.
Subrata Bhattacharya is an Indian football manager and former professional footballer. He primarily played as a defender for India national team and spent seventeen years playing for Mohun Bagan. He was the stopper back for Mohun Bagan during 1975 IFA Shield final when East Bengal beat Mohun Bagan 5–0, the biggest ever margin in the Kolkata Derby. He won Indian National Football League for two times as a coach of Mohun Bagan. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in 1989.

The 2012–13 Mohun Bagan A.C. season is the 123rd season of Mohun Bagan A.C. since the club's formation in 1889 and their 16th season in the I-League which is India's top football league. The team finished runners-up in the Calcutta Football League and a dismal tenth in the I-League. They were crowned Champions in the Airlines Cup after Mohammedan refused to play the finals and gave a walkover. Mohun Bagan crashed out in the group stage of the Federation Cup and were defeated by arch rivals East Bengal in the semi-finals of the IFA Shield.

Karuna Sankar Bhattacharya (1909–1979) was a former Indian footballer who represented and captained the India national football team and Mohun Bagan, a football club in Kolkata. The Karuna Bhattacharya Award is given to the best player of Mohun Bagan in every season. On 11 July 2015 Mohun Bagan conferred the "Mohun Bagan Ratna" to Karuna Bhattacharya. He was the first captain of the India national football team during their first officially recognised match in the international tour of Australia against the Australia national football team in 1938.
The second semi-final of the 1997 Indian Federation Cup was played between arch-rivals East Bengal and Mohun Bagan at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on 13 July 1997. Called the Kolkata Derby, the match was won by East Bengal 4–1 courtesy of a hat-trick, first ever in the derby's history, from Bhaichung Bhutia. Nazim-ul-Haque opened the scoring early on for East Bengal before Bhutia's goal took the lead to 2–0. Chima Okorie managed to pull one back for Mohun Bagan in the second half, but Bhutia's twin strikes in four minutes sealed the game for East Bengal.
The 2018 Calcutta Football League Premier Division was the 121st season of the Calcutta Premier Division, a state association football league within the Indian state of West Bengal. The league is divided into two groups – Division A and Division B. The Championship title is awarded only to the Division A winner, while four teams from Division A are relegated to Division B at the end of the season and four teams from Division B are simultaneously promoted to Division A for the next season. The fixtures of Division A and Division B started on 3 August and 5 August 2018 respectively.

The 2021–22 season was the club's second season since the merger of the brand of ATK FC with Mohun Bagan AC in 2020, and their second season in the Indian Super League. The club though initially participated in the 123rd edition of the Calcutta Football League, later withdrew before the start of their campaign.
