Heo Hwang-ok also known as Empress Boju, was a legendary queen mentioned in Samguk yusa, a 13th-century Korean chronicle. Her native kingdom is believed to be located in India. There is a tomb in Gimhae, South Korea, that is believed to be hers, and a memorial in Ayodhya, India, built in 2020. A memorial of the Korean Tamil Queen Heo Hwang-ok is located in Ram Katha Park, near the ghats, on Sarayu River, in the holy Hindu city of Ayodhya, in Uttar Pradesh. The stone memorial, with an inscription of the legend of Queen Heo, sits inside a park. Planned upgrades featuring Korean and Indian architectural elements and landscaping, including a traditional pavilion, are expected to be completed in 2 years by the end of 2020 at the cost of INR 30 million.

Heo Kwang-hee is a South Korean badminton player who was educated at the Dankook University. He was selected to join the national team in 2012, and joined the Samsung Electro-Mechanics team in 2014. Heo was the bronze medalists at the 2012 World Junior Championships in the boys' singles and team event, and Asian Junior Championships in the team event. Heo later won the boys' singles and mixed team gold medals at the 2013 World Junior Championships, and the mixed team silver medal at the Asian Junior Championships. In the senior level tournament, Heo was the semi-finalists at the 2017 U.S. and 2018 New Zealand Open. He competed at the 2018 Asian Games and at the 2020 Summer Olympics, is best known for upsetting top-seeded Kento Momota in the group stage of the latter tournament.

Rensenware is ransomware that infects Windows computers. It was created as a joke by Kangjun Heo and first appeared in 2017. Rensenware is unusual as an example of ransomware in that it does not request the user pay the creator of the virus to decrypt their files, instead requiring the user to achieve a required number of points in the bullet hell game Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object before any decryption can take place. The main window displays Minamitsu Murasa, a character from the game. Heo released a patch that neutralizes Rensenware after the malware gained attention.
