Hafida Izem (born 20 April 1979) is a Moroccan marathon runner. She represented her country at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Based in Italy, she mainly competes in road races in the country, having won marathons in Bari, Treviso and Naples.
Her first international selection came at the 2001 Universiade, where she was 17th over 5000 metres. [1] She won the Bari Marathon the following year. [2] She opened her 2003 with a win at the Mare Monti half marathon and she improved her marathon best to 2:36.18 hours at the Rome City Marathon, coming fourth. [3] [4] She won the 2003 Prato Marathon in September. [5]
She ran a half marathon best to claim the title at the Roma-Ostia Half Marathon in February, winning in a time of 1:10:39 hours. [6] In March, Izem became the inaugural women's winner of the 2004 Treviso Marathon, [7] and just one week later she ran at the 2004 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, taking 65th place. [1] She set a course record at the Vivicittà Firenze Half Marathon the following month. [8] A marathon best of 2:36:02 came at the Neapolis Marathon in Naples and she gained selection to represent Morocco the event at the 2004 Athens Olympics. [9] She was 27th in the Olympic marathon race in Greece. [10]
Izem had a period of illness in 2005 but returned in 2006 to set a career best time of 2:31:30 hours at the Frankfurt Marathon, taking third place on the podium. [11] She was fifth at the Roma-Ostia race in 2007, [12] but took the top honours at the Citti di Pistoia Half Marathon a month later. [13] She also ran a best for the 20 km (1:09:36) that month, coming fifth at the 20 van Alphen. [14] She won the half marathon race at the 2011 edition of the Casablanca Marathon, [15] then won the Half Marathon de Laayoune at the end of the year. [16]
Nadia Ejjafini is a Moroccan-born professional long-distance runner. She switched nationality from her birth country to Bahrain in 2003, and later became an Italian citizen by marriage in 2009.
Anna Carmela Incerti is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. She has represented Italy in the marathon at European, World and Olympic-level. She won the bronze in the event at the 2010 European Championships, later upgraded to silver and then to gold.

She has won her first marathon races in San Sebastián and Trieste, and went on to win both the Belgrade Marathon and Venice Marathon in 2009. She set her personal best of 2:27:46 at the latter competition.
The Roma–Ostia Half Marathon is an annual half marathon road running event which takes place in early March in Rome, Italy. The course begins in the EUR district of the city and follows a direct southeasterly route to the finish point near the beaches of Ostia. It is Italy's most popular half marathon, with a record 12,000 entries and 9,485 finishers in 2011.

Vincenza Sicari is an Italian long-distance runner. She represented Italy internationally in cross country running early in her career, but later moved on to road events. She has appeared at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on three occasions and ran in the marathon for Italy at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Silvana Cruciata is a former Italian middle- and long-distance runner. She represented Italy at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and shared medals with the Italian women's teams at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Her best of 18.084 km for the one hour run set in 1981 was a world record for over seventeen years.
Benson Kipchumba Barus is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon and half marathon competitions. He has a personal best of 2:07:07 hours for the distance, set at the 2011 Prague Marathon, which he won. He also won the 2009 Turin Marathon and has placed top three in Rome, Beijing and Chuncheon.
Tiziana Alagia is a retired Italian long-distance runner who specialised in the marathon. She represented Italy at the World Championships in Athletics in 2001. A one-time Italian marathon champion, her best for the distance was 2:27:53 hours. She primarily competed in Italy and won marathon races in Florence, Carpi, Turin, Padova and Piacenza.
The Treviso Marathon is an annual road running event which is held in March in the area around the Province of Treviso in Italy.
Stanley Kipleting Biwott is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon races. He won the 2012 Paris Marathon in a course record time of 2:05:11 hours and the 2015 New York City Marathon. His half marathon best is 58:56 minutes.

Flomena Chepchirchir is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon events. Chepchirchir has won half marathons in Venlo, Glasgow and Zwolle. She is a two-time winner of the BIG 25 Berlin race. She has a half marathon best of 1:08:22 hours and a marathon best of 2:23:00 hours.
Manuel Damião is a Portuguese middle- and long-distance runner. He represented Portugal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He is a two-time silver medallist at the Ibero-American Championships in Athletics and participated in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships on ten occasions from 1997 to 2011.
