Hammond Allan Furlonge (born 19 June 1934) is a former Trinidadian cricketer who played in three Tests for the West Indies between 1955 and 1956.
Furlonge made his first-class debut for Trinidad in 1954-55,opening the batting with Jeff Stollmeyer. In his third match,against the touring Australians,he scored 57 and 150 not out. He was included in the team for the Fifth Test,opening with John Holt,and making 4 and 28.
He toured New Zealand with the West Indies team in 1955-56. He failed to score in the Second Test,but returned for the Fourth Test when he top-scored in the first innings with 64 in a total of 145 all out in a low-scoring match,New Zealand's first Test victory. [1] Dick Brittenden said of this innings that Furlonge's "accentuated two-eyed stance should have made him especially vulnerable to the seamers,but he played with skill and a stout heart for 210 minutes". [2]
Furlonge played a few more matches for Trinidad over the next six seasons,scoring 106 and 45 against Barbados in 1960-61 [3] (his only game as captain),and played his last first-class match in 1961-62.
His brothers Carl and Kenneth also played for Trinidad. The one match they all played together was the one against Barbados when Hammond captained the side.

Daren Ganga is a former Trinidadian cricketer. He was a right-handed top order batsman and part-time right-arm off spinner. He was named the 2006 West Indies Players' Association 'Test player of the year',Ganga captained the Windies' youth,A and senior teams together with Trinidad and Tobago. Ganga is also the most successful captain ever,with four titles,in West Indian List A tournaments.
Sherwin Legay Campbell is a former Barbadian cricketer who played 52 Tests and 90 One Day Internationals for the West Indies,and also a former ODI captain for Windies.
Seymour MacDonald Nurse was a Barbadian cricketer. Nurse played 29 Test matches for the West Indies between 1960 and 1969. A powerfully built right-hand batsman and an aggressive,if somewhat impetuous,shotmaker,Nurse preferred to bat in the middle order but was often asked to open the batting. A relative latecomer to high-level cricket,Nurse's Test cricket career came to what many consider a premature end in 1969.
John Gordon Leggat was a New Zealand cricketer who played nine Test matches for New Zealand in the 1950s as an opening batsman. He was later a leading cricket administrator. His cousin Ian Leggat also played Test cricket for New Zealand.
Robert Smith Cunis played 20 Test matches for New Zealand as a pace bowler between 1964 and 1972,and was later coach of the New Zealand national team from 1987 to 1990. His son Stephen played cricket for Canterbury between 1998 and 2006.

Maurius Pacheco Fernandes,known as Maurice Fernandes,was a West Indian Test cricketer who played first-class cricket for British Guiana between 1922 and 1932. He made two Test appearances for the West Indies,in 1928 and 1930. Fernandes played as a right-handed top-order batsman and occasional wicket-keeper. He scored 2,087 first-class runs in 46 appearances at an average of 28.20.
John Douglas Claude Goddard OBE was a cricketer from Barbados who captained the West Indies in 22 of his 27 Tests between 1948 and 1957.
George Nathaniel Francis was a West Indian cricketer who played in West Indies' first Test in their inaugural Test tour of England. He was a fast bowler of renowned pace and was notably successful on West Indies' non-Test playing tour of England in 1923,but he was probably past his peak by the time the West Indies were elevated to Test status. The West Indian cricket team that toured England in the 1928 season was the first to play Test cricket. The team was not very successful,losing all three Tests by an innings and winning only five of the 30 first-class matches played.
The English cricket team in the West Indies in 1934–35 was a cricket touring party sent to the West Indies under the auspices of the Marylebone Cricket Club for a tour lasting 2+1⁄2 months in 1934–35. The team played four Test matches against the West Indian cricket team,winning one match but losing two –the first series defeat of an English side by the West Indies.
The West Indies cricket team toured England in the 1939 season to play a three-match Test series against England. England won the series 1–0 with two matches drawn. A total of 25 first-class matches were played and the West Indian side won eight of them and lost six,with the others drawn. The tour was abandoned a few days after the final test match because of the worsening international situation with the Second World War imminent. The last six matches from 26 August to 12 September were cancelled.
Kraigg Clairmonte Brathwaite is a Barbadian cricketer who captains the West Indies in Test cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and occasionally bowls off breaks. On 6 November 2011,he became only the second West Indian to score two Test fifties before his 19th birthday when he made 63 (212) against India in Delhi. He has also effectively stood as stand-in-captain in place of Jason Holder in seven test matches before becoming the permanent captain of the test team taking over from Holder. He idolises Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his batting style.
