South Asian Games

The South Asian Games, and formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games is a biennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC), formed in 1983. Currently, the SAOC comprises 7 member countries, namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan started participating in the SAF Games in 2004 and left the SAOC after participating in the 2016 edition.

Nepal womens national football team

The Nepal women's national football team, otherwise known as Nepali Cheli's is controlled by the All Nepal Football Association and represents Nepal in women's international football competitions. The Women's Football Department is developed to control and manage the women's football activities. The official motto of women's football in Nepal is "Football for Change". It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation and the South Asian Football Federation and has yet to qualify for the World Cup.

2019 South Asian Games XIII South Asian Games

The 2019 South Asian Games, officially the XIII South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event which was originally slated to be held from 9 to 18 March 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. However, the dates were postponed and the event was held from 1–10 December 2019, coincidentally at the same time as the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. The new dates were confirmed at the South Asian Olympic Council Executive Board meeting in Bangkok on 1 March 2019. The Dasarath Stadium hosted the opening ceremony along with the men's football tournament, with the stadium's renovation after the 2015 earthquake completed in under 10 months with an increased capacity of 20,000, along with the closing ceremony on 10 December.

The 2019–20 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League season, also known as the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A-Division League for sponsorship reasons, will be the 43rd edition of the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Manang Marshyangdi Club were the defending champions. The season begun on 14 December and lasted for Two months. Machhindra Football Club were crowned as league winners for the first time in club's history on the 15 February, after defeating Nepal Army Club by 1–0.

Cricket at the 2019 South Asian Games was held in Twenty20 format in Kirtipur and Pokhara, Nepal between 2 and 9 December 2019. Cricket returned to the South Asian Games after a period of nine years. The men's tournament featured under-23 squads from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and senior squads from Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. The women's event featured teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal. All matches in the men's event were played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The women's event was played at the Pokhara Stadium.

Athletics or track and field will be among the sports to be contested at the 2019 South Asian Games. Athletics will be hosted in the Dasarath Stadium. This stadium will also host the games' Opening and Closing Ceremony.

Taekwondo is among the sports which is being contested at the 2019 South Asian Games. Taekwondo is being hosted in the International Sports Complex, Satdobato between December 2 and 5, 2019.

Triathlon is among the sports which is being contested at the 2019 South Asian Games. Triathlon is being hosted in the city of Pokhara between December 2 and 4, 2019. The discipline of duathlon was added to the sports program for this edition of the games.

Golf was contested at the 2019 South Asian Games. The events were hosted at the Gokarna Forest Resort, in Kathmandu, Nepal from 3 to 6 December 2019.

Squash was contested at the 2019 South Asian Games. Squash competitions were held at the International Sports Complex, Satdobato, in Lalitpur, Nepal from 6 to 10 December 2019.
